flacco made his mistakes but man this team needs to trade for a tight end. clark is slow and dickson has been a huge disappointment. flacco needs that safety net and he does not have one.

Do all you Average Joe Flacco worshippers ever stop to watch Peyton Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc do just fine w/a group of rookie or otherwise very inexperienced receivers? Just keep dreaming about him ever being "elite". Not going to happen. Not w/the current coaching staff, especially. Just sit back and watch the good teams w/good QB's. It's like night and day in difference. Are our receivers great? Not even, but good QB's make them stars. As long as we keep the same play callers and OL, expect more of the same, unless we run into a team more inept than we are. I've been a Ravens fan a long time and will always be one, but I call it like it is, and don't gulp the kool aid or wear the dark purple glasses which blur your vision. Oh, and Ray Lewis was 100% correct about leadership or the lack thereof. Ray, you are sorely missed.

If the Bills were any good, the score could have and should have been worse with 5 int by Flacco.....And it wasn't a fun thing to watch him getting hit so much, i think we need to give Q.A Shipley some time at Center..Gino is a warrior, but IMO his undersized body is getting abused by bigger DT, and NT....T.Smith, and Marlon Brown continue to be solid, Deonte looked good, but now we don't know if he will miss time with being concussed..

Ya, Gronk seems to be a weak spot on our line.
Torry Smith is looking like an NFL receiver! Not used to that here.

It still bothers me that Harbaugh is always saying it's a long season.
Well,
it gets much shorter when we have 2 losses already and "we're only 2 months into this".

Now,
we have 2 more losses, maybe 3 at the most, that we could afford and still make the playoffs.
The season just got a whole lot shorter huh?

What stinks most as we had a golden opportunity to take a nice lead in the AFCN with everyone else we wanted to lost lost.....3-1 would look a lot better than 2-2 going to Miami....And we have to go back to our blocking schemes were wde played man up, zone blocking schemes are for smaller quicker O-Linemen, we have giants playing O-Line for us....no brainer here...

Funny how you waited until this game to start chirping about Flacco, yet MIA during the playoffs last year. The other QB's you've mentioned have all had their 4-5 pic performances. Did you ever stop and watch those ? Or do you have a case of SML, selective memory loss ?

Quite simply and to semi quote the great Jay Z:

"The Ravens have 99 problems but Flacco aint one of them !"

P.S. Yeah, we really miss Ray Lewis and his 7.8 40 speed around here.

I don't have a problem with abandoning the run game. Joe wants to throw and we need our receivers to step up. Our O line isn't opening any holes for Ray or Bernard to run through so putting it in Joes hands was a good decision I think, IF, we had someone who could catch it!
If you think about it, who would you say were our BEST players on Offense?
Joe and Torrey!

Lil Ray has put the ball on the ground a lot and even pierce isn't getting the yards we've seen from him before.
Disappointing when this comes against a team that has had problems with the run so far this year.
You know we'll right the ship but how long and how many losses will it take is the $5000 question.

Backing into the playoffs is just as good as sailing into it so I don't care how we get there, just as long as we have a shot at it again.

GO RAVENS!!

Flacco is a better QB than what he showed yesterday, but he does have to own this loss, you just can't have 5 int's and expect to a lot of games...Buffalo gave us numerous chances to actually win this game, but we beat ourselves...

Ozzie&John built their staff and assembled their team. Pees&Caldwell use the talent on the field to win or lose in the NFL. Line coach, recievers coach,Lbs coach all plan the attacks but it's the talent provided that get the penalties, make the tackles, miss their blocks. The Ravens look like the team they are,a work in progress,"average" Joe doesn't have the line to protect him or that can let the run game thrive right now,his recievers can't get open, play action is ignored and the whole team suffers as Ozzie's on field talent finds it's way. We are not as bad as we looked in Buffalo but we also are not as good as the 2-2 record says we are. Ozzie needs to get Joe some viable NFL revievers like Josh Gorden,Where's our H-back? What's zone blocking? This is the team we have-fix it or 8-8 will be an attainable goal this year. Clark&Dickson need to be replaced. Is Jacoby close to being ready? Without a road win in Miami which will be a tough task this team that Ozzie built will self implode.Joe needs help,Ray Rice needs some Zone Blocked seams&gaps to run through---Ellerbe will be waiting.

5 interceptions, no running game and umpteen penaties and even EJ MAnual Spiller&Jackson look like Super Bowl contenders. No excuse ,our team cannot win as currently coached&constructed. What is zone blocking? and thank God we didn't use it last year.

i'm not ready to hit the panic button, and i expect a shakeup this week, after 4 games and zero improvement in the rushing game, then it is time for a change, either in scheme or asst coaching......we have thumpers on the O-Line, and not smaller and faster O-Linemen where Zone blocking makes sense, we need to go back to man to man blocking....

We couldnt run against a team that was giving up 155 yards per game on the 9 carries that we actually ran the ball. also 9 carries is not the answer bad play calling there. Next Joe got hit too much again back to bad o-line and forcing him into throwing into double coverage for lots of picks. O Line coaching staff needs to be held accountable here, whatever the scheme is they are trying to use doesnt work here in Baltimore.

Defense got pushed around regularly and gave up over 200 Yards. Unacceptable

No more excuses that we played tough defensive fronts on the first 3 weeks because this team wasnt and we looked completely stupid out there.

5 picks was just plain bad need to throw it away if its not there. Tipped balls get picked thats not bad luck. throwing into double coverage is a bad idea. And this was a back up secondary that Joe faced most of the starters were injured.

All in all very disappointing and embarrassing

Once again the Ravens looked and played like a sand-lot team. They came into the game with a chip on their shoulder figuring they are going to run all over the Bills and they got it stuffed to them. They deserved it, the way they played. These new running back coaches are not working and should get rid of them.

the penalties were ridiculous and put the offense out of rhythm. i hope harbs lays down the hammer on his coaches and players in practice this week. poor game plan as well on both sides of the ball. defense had no pass rush or penetration for most of the game

So next we get Miami who will have a tough test tonight with the Saints. They have talent speed and play physical ball. Ravens will probably see a very angry Dolphins team that loses to the Saints and if the Dolphins win that is even more scary for the Ravens. Now we need to get back to smash mouth Raven football. Get back to power run and be more physical than the teams we play week in and week out.

It is shame that the most severe problem is with the only unit that is unchanged from last year. I think the problem is Juan Castillo, the offensive line genius that Harbs brought in. He is probabkly trying out fancy blocking schemes that do not fit the personnel. That's the only thing I can come up with. They need to let that guy walk and go back to the schemes they have employed in the past when they were one of the dominant rushing attacks in the NFL.

I thought we would have one of the best lines in the league this year, now it's more like the worst, how can this happen? How can someone screw this up so fast (Castillo)? Maybe it's not Juan, because the guys are making a lot of bonehead plays, KO looks like he should lose his starting job because of his bad play. We needed KO to be a rock this year being next to Gino, him and Yanda could of helped Gino, now it's the other way around. We could of gotten past one weak spot in the middle, but now with two right next to each other were in trouble.

It's the same old crap as last year, the year before and so on. We suck as an away team. Don't know why, but it has been an issue. How can you go from crushing a top rated team to sucking so bad against a team missing most of their defensive starters? Heck, we couldn't even run the damned ball! Flacco needs to step up and prove $120M wasn't a mistake!!!

Joe should have stayed home watching the game on TV with his family, lets give Tyrod Taylor a chance now to see what he can do,I thought originally they were going to share some plays together, how about bringing back Cam Cameron. I told the fans last week that if we don't get 30 points we were going to lose, you all neg me so might as well give me a few more negs, Joe needs to stop eating those McDonald's Mighty Wings and eat Taco Bell Tacos instead, $120,000,000 and the next season he suck and he's an ELITE QB ? no way,Harbs sounds more like Coach Andy Reid of Kansas City, he's blaming himself for the lost if the Ravens lose

When did this team become the Raiders? Last year we lead the league in penalties and yards off penalties, and this year we are avg 7 per game again. With the team struggling with injuries and chemistry we can't afford to be shooting ourselves in the foot either.

I really was thinking they would bench Flacco in the early fourth quarter and give Taylor a chance. I think this was the time to do it. Flacco looked lost, how does he under perform like he did yesterday? It would be great to know what the 'experts' think went wrong. Also, what is with Ngata, they ran right through him all afternoon. He looks to be on the decline to me.

The Pats had a scare against the Bills but came back and won it. We get close and Flacco throws a pick to end the game.....

.500, 2 - 2, First place in the AFC North (1-0) with a lot of football to left to play.

Buffalo was a game we could afford to lose. Yes, this team has a lot to figure out and work on and I have all the faith that they will. Yes, the Buffalo game was a horrible showing but guess what, we see one of these games every year so I'm used to it.

Now Coaches, players and all the way down to the water boy - get your heads out of your butts and let's play some football!!!!

LEGGGGGOOOOO RAVENS!!!!

No good franchise in the history of sports has ever paid a quality player a large sum of money and then benched him for one bad performance, particularly when the guy you would put in hasn't proven he can even deliver an accurate pass to a wide open receiver.

What you are advocating is not a realistic scenario in any way.

Its either a full time benching or no being at all.

I've yet to see a quality team ever be worth anything by temporarily benching a QB.

LOL, I see i got a neg for being optomistic - I guess I could be as pessimistic as the rest of you guys but the glass is always half full to me. This is the same thing they did last year and the year before that and every year we have the same group of fans bitching and moaning about benching Flacco and putting in Taylor and firing all the coaches and we need to do this and we need to do that. If this game was a must win we would have won.

Our chances of having to go to Denver and play Manning in the frigid cold again - I'll take those chances again!!!

Our chances of having to go play Houston at their field - we don't have to now cause we have the tie breaker over them.

Our main goal is and always will be to WIN OUR DIVISION, make it to the playoffs and go from there. For all of you fans who want to go out and win every game, the Ravens are not the team to do it - so just come to accept the things you cannot change nor control and enjoy the ride...
