Interesting how many are saying a Miami win is impossible. Buffalo game a bit of an ugly loss but did everyone forget how we just emberrassed a good texans team? Road wins are very dicey for any nfl team. But this ravens team is plenty good to win road games. Stop overreacting.

What game would you suggest I watch that would heighten my confidence? We haven't been good on the road, period.

Can we just fast forward to the Pittsburgh game? That's the next one that I'm optimistic about.

It's kind of weird that Redskins fans (which I'm surrounded by) have been silenced. Steeler fans can't give me any grief, but it's the Miami fans that I'm probably gonna hear it from.

I decided to not go the full 24 hours before moving on. The upside we are even with everyone in the division and the steelers are dead last. after yesterday I will not smack talk anymore either . and hope for the best . Go Ravens on to Maimi

We have no chance in this game barring a drastic improvement on both sides of the ball.

Cannot seeing us winning, the offensive ineptitude is beyond fixing, short of new personnel.

The next 3 games are going to really tell us where the Ravens stand for the 2013 season.

at Miami

they are playing good ball and could be 4-0 next week

home against Green Bay

also struggling but it's Aaron Rodgers

at Pittsburgh

they are terrible this year but you know it would make their season to beat the Ravens

the good thing is no one is running away in the division....

these games will define our season. sadly i see us losing  2 of them. we arent a good team. too many holes. ive said this before and il say it again, we will be mediocre this year and the next couple, then in 2016we will start to get better. ozzie hasnt been smart with  contracts for certain players and flacoo will limit our ability to lure top free agents

Actually I think the three games starting with Pittsburgh (where we play Pittsburgh, Cincinatti and Cleveland back to back with a bye in between) will define out season. If we sweep, we probably have the division wrapped up, even if we otherwise have a crappy season against everyone else.

If Webb is out and we have to start Brown or Huff, I really don't think we can contain the speedy Wallace, Hartline, Gibson combo. Our only hope is to get to the QB before he can air it out, and hit him hard and often.

On the offensive side, we need to figure out the running game and fast. Our receivers are dropping like flies, and I can't really bear to watch Flacco and Clark/Dickson continue to not be on the same page, or Doss run a 3 yard pattern when we need 5 yards.

The only sollace is that I know we have a better team than what we have been showing on the field. Which to me means that some of these new coaches we brought in are awful. Go back to whatever was working in the post-season last year and give some people the heave ho. Firing Cam was the best thing for the team. I'm wondering if Castillo or Moeller should be this years blood letting.

If Donte is cleared from concussion to play next week and Brown is ok from the thigh injury, I believe we can smoke Miami with air strike....

This is the main positive I see from this game. I think if we stop playing games and go with Torrey, Brown & Thompson we will be alright. Keep Doss on returns (though he did make a big mistake there as well). The Dickson experiment is done IMO. He should never see the field again. Clark can come in as a decoy but he is too slow, DBs just sit back and wait to jump his routes. It's sad.

We've got to stop praying for a miracle from our run game from the word go though. It's time to flip the switch and start attacking through the air. That will open the run game up.

I see us being back to form next year.  Our defense has played very well so far, we are mainly lacking in a solid OL and competent receivers for Joe to throw the ball to.

If our offense was able to stay on the field for more than 3 plays, I think our defense would look even better.

I'm hoping we bring in a vet WR to complement Jacoby coming back.  If we are able to open up the passing game, hopefully it would have a little bit of a positive effect on our complete lack of a running game.

Torrey, Brown, and Thompson are surely the best trio recievers in this team, as indicating last week with Thompson on the outside with Torrey.  Things were opening up nicely for Joe to play cuz all 3 of them can get opened and catch balls when on the field.

It's hard to fix our running game over night, so the best bet right now is getting Thompson and Marlon healthy, and we'll have the best arial attack.  Positively, when we can attack on air, our running game might have a bit of breathing room for Rice or Pierce to attack on ground.

This is exactly what I was referring to in the post you quoted me on

People love to give absolutes to prove a point..
Boards were the same in 2011 when we lost to Jax and then lost by 30 to the chargers in same year

This team isn't as good as our 2011 team but it isn't mainly because of flacco.. He's part of the solution not the problem

I read Cameron wake is questionable for tonight so i imagine he will be playing next week.. trying to avoid over reaction monday but 4 straight games of bad oline play is not leaving any optimism i think our defense can keep us in this game i mean their pass game is appearing solid but their RB's are not top tier guys from what ive seen. tonight will say alot about how well i think we can play them if brees struggles then i know we will also. Early guess 17-13 Ravens.

Not too worried about our defense against their offense. Jon Martin was largely viewed as a liability at LT coming into this season and although he has played well enough to quell those concerns to this point, I think Suggs/Doom will effectively exploit him.

Their defense is what concerns me, though they've been banged up. If Wake ends up playing and is lined of opposite Oher, that's bad news on paper (though at times Oher shows flashes of dominance, could see that happening). Paul Soliai is also battling injury but is an impact run defender. And Dimitri Patterson is banged up helps our cause. But injuries notwithstanding they still field a solid defense with impact players at every position. This shapes up to be another headache game for our offense

(on paper)

A lot of things are going against us coming into this game, I am still expecting us to win; if Donte and Marlon playing, Joe will go all out like Rodgers did with their no RB support.

I'm optimistic about it........book it...

We never sign top free agents.

Because we have good players.  We can't lure free agents because we have players who need to be paid.  Like Torrey Smith.

i'm hoping Miami wins tonight. If they lose they'll play angry against us at their house.

I'm hoping the opposite. If they win they'll still be undefeated and will certainly not want to take their first loss at home.

Im hoping Miami loses.   Let them get mad.   We need to prove to ourselves if we got the grit to make it throughout the season.

I agree with this. Also, like another poster said, I believe we lose the next two games, beat Pittsburgh and then go into the bye week with a sour taste with a chance to make a dent in the division those first couple of weeks we return. There are too many issues to work out before Miami to feel confident about an offensive game plan and obviously we don't have the firepower to hang with Green Bay; however, we should be able to knock off Pittsburgh with some momentum.

Green Bay really isn't that great of a football team on either side of the ball.
