I can understand why the ravens signed Castillo because of  his good resume as  a offensive line coach but also its possible that he could be a  back up plan  to fill in as offensive coordinator just in case  Caldwell really isn't the man for the job . I guess having two offensive line coaches in your ear maybe difficult to handle but  it seems like Castillo is the main guy and Moeller is like the assistant  of some sort.

Sorry dudes, Castillo is here to stay and he's good at what he does. His schemes are good and he's a good teacher, but he can't play the game for them. Really don't know how many times I'll have to say that.

 

I'm not as ready to absolve him, but anyone who thinks the biggest problem isn't the players are kidding themselves

They still suck.  It was our coaching, run game, etc (team) that sucked more.  
 
Any competent team would have embarrassed us with that many turnovers.

I posted this in another thread, but teams are using more coaches now with the new CBA and limited practice times to distribute responsibilities and better use time.

Whats wrong with the defense besides injuries? When you pass the football 31 straight times (and not very effectively) you are going to put your defense on the field a lot and they will be gassed.

I don't get it either. We turned the ball over five times. That's five 'extra' chances we gave them to score on us, so even though we gave up some yards, our defense could have done a lot worse.

What's depressing is that at this point, I dont even expect them to do their jobs (pass protect and run block), I'll be absolutely thrilled if they just do one of those things.

I agree with all of your grades except for WRs.  No way they deserve a B.  Smith deserves maybe a B.  He had some great plays, and he was invisible for most plays, and he still has troubles tracking passes and making plays on the ball sometimes.

 

But he was good, overall.  But the other guys weren't good at all.  The reason Flacco had to force throws is because no one was open, so I don't know how that translates to a "B".

I don't think Lovie wants to be a coordinator. If he did, he would be already coaching.
