If you could take one player from the Bills

Agreed. Chandler is really the only player they have that would represent a significant upgrade. I wouldn't swap any other starter on our team for a starter on theirs

No way. Mario is far better than Dumervil, and if we consider him a DE, he's far better than Canty.

Gilmore is better than any CB not named Webb on our roster.

We can only hope Elam develops into a player of Byrd's caliber.

Steve Johnson is, right now, much superior to Marlon Brown, and as good as Torrey.

Kyle Williams would start for us.

And I'd trade our OL for theirs. At least they can run block.

When you already have two of the best pass rushers in the game then it makes sense to look elsewhere no?

Yeah it would be almost a waste. I think Chandler would be the biggest upgrade over anyone at that position on our team

Lee Evans who makes a catch in the AFC Championship game.

Other then that,I don't want any Bills players.

Do you think Mario would be a good fit as a gap plugging 3-4 DE? He'd be a beast interior rusher in nickel packages, but I don't know if he'd be a great two gap DE. He has the size and strength for it though.

I gotta say, I like Bills fans more after reading through all of that. That was a good topic idea as well.

Someone should invite them over for a visit.

How about Scott Chandler? That would definitely be an upgrade!!!!

That's a tough one though. I love Stevie Johnson as well.

I have a special place in my heart for Chandler because he is an underrated former Iowa Hawkeye. With how our team is, I think we need more offensive power. I'd go Johnson or Chandler.

Saw this on the bills forum...Good question

http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?470644-If-you-could-take-1-player-from-the-Ravens-who-would-it-be-and-why

Very great read. If you get a chance to read it. It really makes you appreciate how good we have it as a fan and the Ravens organization.

My question is the same except different team, if you could take one player from the Bills, who would you take and why?

Personally, I would take Steve Johnson, still relatively young. 27 yr olds and a deep threat to take one to the house. With the lack of depth at WR. That's a no brainier for me.

i dont know much about the bill's players, but if they have a decent OL, i wouldn't mind having him in our team. while we're on this topic, we might as do the same with the Jaguars , i think they have a decent OL, maybe monroe or somebody. Ozzie should do his magic.

God bless the guy who posted the Raven cheerleader, she is stunning! He has great taste :)

It looks like Webb had the edge, but no they can't have him - ever!

Lee Evans with HANDS![/quote]Please tell me you are joking, right? Even if he had good hands, the guy could never stay healthy. When Ozzie picked him up, I thought it was a great signing and I was stoked, but boy was I wrong.

Understand your reasoning but I believe some of those sack numbers from Seattle can be attributed to their overall defensive talent from DL to secondary

Obviously you couldn't go wrong with Mario just was offering a different view

Fair enough, good point of view. Seattle certainly do have a fantastic secondary.

Stevie Johnson and it's no where near close. We've done enough for our defense in the offense so I wouldn't go defense. On offense we're a wr away from being as explosive as we was in the playoffs.Smith and Johnson would make a great tandem.

Well I was doing the biggest upgrade over what we have. Johnson and Smith are great but they are both number 1 wide outs. Chandler is a number 1 TE and would be a huge upgrade

I think some of us were interpreting the question a bit differently, especially since so many people on the Buffalo board referenced our QB and talked about upgrades, not additions. So what if the question is really who you would take INSTEAD of their Ravens counterpart. Meaning if you take Johnson it would be instead of Torrey, not paired with Torrey. Which is why I still think Chandler is the best option. Nobody else on the Bills would be that great an upgrade. (and yes, I'm factoring in future upside potential of players like Elam and Jimmie Smith when I say this, but I think that's also part of the analysis).

EJ Manuel, this offense needs a spark and a QB that can pass and pick up yards with his feet is a huge asset.

Ha! Lighting the match, eh?

Hello from a Bills fan here near Baltimore (about 45 minutes away, just moved here)! I've always liked the Ravens (if I was forced to choose a second team to root for) due to Ray Lewis. What a football player.

I'm glad you guys appreciated our topic over @ the Bills' official message boards. It was nice to read many of your responses. I was surprised with the amount of love you guys gave Robert Woods, I guess just mainly due to him being a rookie and not much has been mentioned about him in the national media. No doubt the kid has potential, but its good to see!

If I was taking a player from the Ravens, it would be Yanda. Our guards are so terrible and letting Andy Levitre walk definitely hit the Bills hard these first few games.

Best of luck to both teams today!

I'm with Gabefergy. EJ Manuel please!

:P

Seriously though, Cordy Glenn had a pretty good game against us, and having him would have been spectacular today.

So can we have the entire Bills offensive line?

That could help.

Minus their worst guard, as we already have Yanda, but the other 4?

Yes, please.

And could they throw in Chandler, the TE too?

Because that would be perfect.

He also got away with quite a few holds. I like him as well, but I didn't like those holds lol
