So - which division do you guys think is the toughest in the league this year?

Going into the season, I would have 100% said the NFC West, simply because of the Seahawks and 49ers.  Now with the 49ers collapsing (muahahaha), I think it's a toss up.

Surprisingly, I'm going to go with the AFC West.  The Broncos are arguably the best team in the NFL right now (only other real contender is Seattle, IMHO).  The Chiefs look like a quality team, and Alex Smith has been on-point this year.  The Chargers are better than their record shows, and if they actually decide to finish games, they may end up with a pretty good record.  The Raiders suck, and everyone knows it.

That being said, I'm picking the Seahawks to get the Lombardi this year.

For hardest division, I'd say AFC South. The Texans and Colts both look like strong choices to take the division, and the Titans are a surprisingly good squad this year.

At the moment, I'm going to say the AFC East. For once, New England won't have a cakewalk on their way to the division title. The Dolphins are playing well, the Jets have played well, and the Bills could be competitive. Those three teams could see a lot of improvement as well, so the Patriots will be under pressure.

AFC South is looking pretty tough too.

NFC East.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist!

I tend to agree with Nave, the AFC south looks to be quite competitive this year.

NFC South. From top to bottom I think they're the toughest teams to beat.

Seemed that way before TB and CAR tripped over themselves at the beginning of the race.

JAC really brings down their average, though! :p  The NFC West has above average-elite Ds & QBs from all 4 of their teams.

I still say its either afc north or NFC south. I am not sold the steelers are finished yet and both bengals and ravens are serious contenders.

Despite the 49ers poor play the last two weeks they are still a very solid team. Seattle is too notch. And both St. Louis and Arizona are good teams.
