Who's going? Should be a fun trip!! Anyone familiar with the area? Would love to get some tips/suggestions for best bars, tailgate options, etc.

There is a Chicago Fan group on Facebook.  That is the best place to look.  Just type "Chicago Ravens Fans" in the search line.

Hey Big Mike.... Also going to see Ravens play DaBears.  I'll be going with two friends.

Really looking forward to it.  I am not on facebook.  Need information about Ravens

hangouts, restaurants, etc.  We are staying in the northern loop area (I think), just

for the weekend.  Love the road trips.  My favorite so far is Nashville-people are great

and LOVE the country!

Thanks to KCRavensGirl, here is some info I got from the Chicago Ravens Facebook site. Also, I hear there is a bar (Cactus bar and grill) in the loop that offers a shuttle to the stadium.

"Things to do: go to Millenium Park and see the Bean and BuckinghamFountain (the Fountain from Married with Children), go on a Boat Tour (might betoo cold when you are here), go on a Double Decker Bus Tour (might be too coldto sit on the 2nd level, but they'll still be around), go in the Sears Tower orJohn Hancock Building (the Hancock is cheaper and faster, but the Sears Towerhas a see-through floor), go to Nay Pier, eat a pizza at Lou Malnati's orGiordano's (don't go to Gino's East, Pizza Due, Pizza Uno, they are touristtraps), eat a steak at a steakhouse (Gibson's, Chicago Firehouse, Gene andGeorgetti's, Benny's Chop House), eat a hot dog (Portillo's), eat an italianbeef (Portillo's or Al's), go to State and Division streets for bar hopping, goto Dearborn and Hubbard for fancy bar and club hopping, eat breakfast at Yolkor 11 City Diner. Chicago is an awesome city. You'll fine plenty to do, andthere will be too much for you to do.

Took the same trip back in 2005. Chicago is a great town, fun place to visit. I personally didn't like the stadium.  Game day it was cold, rainy, we were heckled a little bit, it was a miserable day so, we left early because the Ravens were losing and Ray left the game with a bad hamstring injury. Also, had never met Tom Matte before, had to go to Chicago to meet him and his wife on the street. They were great to talk to. Hope your trip is great and we win this one on the road.  :229031_cheer:

I'll be staying near Walton and Michigan.  Rush Street not far away.  Looking for a fun

sports bar with good food.  Raven friendly, of course!

OK, then.  Leaving in the morning.  We'll be getting the full gamit of weather- warm, then rain, then wind and cold.

Hope the Ravens are up to the task.  I'll be looking for purple!

Well that was wild...my first evacuation. So glad a tornado didn't hit the stadium. We would have all died. Wild road trip.....a win would have made it all better...Oh well...New Orleans next year!!!!
