The cone of silence?

Salt makes those sweet victories that much sweeter.

Once you accept that the talking heads just don't eat crow, the sooner you can enjoy your life.

For real.I dont think I've ever been happier as a ravens fan(barring the superbowl of course) than after we beat Denver in the playoffs. The look on the "experts"face was priceless.I like it quiet.Lets fly under the radar. Its when were at our best.

I'm in my 20's but I definitely love myself some original Get Smart:

Thanks for posting that.
It made me laugh and gave me hope for future generations.

Wins are the only validation I need, not too fussed what the media think. Workmanlike teams that are a greater sum of their parts are never the media darlings, I'll take the Lombardi over flashy headlines any day.

The Giants are the big-market version of this.  Their star QB gets bashed incessantly over whether he's "elite".  They always get overlooked in the local media due to the Jets' Circus.  Having to compete with the Knicks, Nets and Yankees for attention doesn't help.  However, the Giants have actually used this as a rallying cry.  When they were a breath away from being eliminated from the playoff picture in 2011, they used the negativity/indifference as motivation.

You have to be a 40-something or at least appreciate 70's TV to fully appreciate "The Cone of Silence"

If the reference is what I think it is, it should be the Dome of Silence.

I remembered this incorrectly, it was the cone of silence.  Sorry about that Chief.

I thought I was the only one that notice this too. Even when they have the segment on NFL Live where they show each highlight of each game and talk about it before they go to the next, nothing was said about the Ravens. Its a conspiracy against the Ravens or something, I'm confused.

Skip Bayless just complimented the Ravens for being 2-1 (eventhough he also said, that he doesn't know how we are 2-1 -_- ). He also said, that Joe Flacco stepped up as a leader (eventhough he also said, that John Harbaugh also stepped up as a leader, which doesn't make sense since he is the HC. He always was a leader.).

But, whatever, Skip Bayless just praised our team in the most backhanded way possible. That's what you wanted OP, right?

That was all part of his defending the current Ravens against the comments made by Ray.  I'd still like to see him someday defend us against someone a little more removed from the organization than a player who just retired from the team months ago.  However, he did say "Congratulations Ravens.  You proved me wrong again," (paraphrase) on Monday after they beat the Texans.  He then followed it by saying that Flacco winning a Superbowl is one of two things in sports he cannot come to terms with.  Baby steps for an adolescent commentator.

O geez, reliving that again, when Joe gets his second ring will be really hard on him. I almost feel for him. Almost. Hopefully he'll come around before Flacco wins his third or else the fourth one will devastating.

The guy I feel the worse for is Flacco. The reason's they give for Brady's, Eli's and Bens low numbers are some of the same things Joe's going though but for him it's "Joe's struggling", for the other QBs it's "they aren't getting support". Kills me.

He's not feeding the ball to the other team like Roethlisberger so I'm okay if they feel that he's "struggling".
