The take home message I get from this article (the fact that both Jones and Pea agree the assault part was a big nothing) is that nobody is getting sued over this. Good.

What would be helpfull in this situation if Jones made a statement to the media like "Yeah, I was in the wrojg place at the wrong time and I got hit by the bottle, but everything is fine. I should of known better and Im ready to put this behind us and to focus on football, to get healthy and win games for this football team, GO RAVENS, Oh, Happy Birthday, Big Mac, you Party Animal, you". Case closed.

Just to give credit where credit is due, with the exception of the last sentence, this is actually surprisingly close to what Jones is reported to have said in the linked article.

If you like JJ like some of us do including myself, we will be all making jokes and laughing about his incident; however, it turns out it wasn't true.  I apologize JJ for thinking of him getting into the altercation, and I shouldn't have listened to fake news TMZ.  At least, I wasn't mad about him when the news initially broke out......
