Jacoby Jones and Bryant McKinnie in a party bus brawl Sunday night?

191 posts in this topic

It's not serious in comparison to actually committing a crime. It's serious in terms of being a face of an organization and exercising extremely bad judgement. The fact that Harbaugh had to address this to the press and on his birthday should be mortifying to both those guys. But based on McKinnie's history, he will probably do the same thing when he turns 35.

and I still wouldn't have a problem with it . I don't judge anyone and there are allot worse things to do then blow your money on strippers . I'm not getting into a moral argument with anyone . comiing from a human resources standpoint . employers can control behavior on there property on there time period . off time is at the discretion of the employ . it is not now nor was it ever against the law to blow money on strippers or watch them .

even if the ravens were so angry that they felt the need to release mckinnie . where are we going to find a left tackle ....the answer is we wouldn't have mckinnie if we had a better option .  agree to disagree  about the rest

They're off the team after this year, McKinnie is a bad influence on KO.  I think he might be the reason KO isn't dominating as much as we thought he would at LG.

Yes, but remember, McKinnie is "older folk". He's 34.

I hear ya and you are right but there is much more to being "older" than having the right amount of birthdays.

Ray Lewis was on Monday Night Countdown and commented on the subject and said this kind of behavior reflects on no leadership in the locker room and that the Ravens need to find our new locker room leader, fast.

I listened to this as well. He actually said there is no leader since he and Ed left. He really didn't need to make this about him, even if he thinks it's true.

Absolutely, but I think a lot of us would be more forgiving about indiscretions he did when he was 22 as compared to still doing them at 34. All the older people on this thread were stupid kids at some point too -- but there's a point where it stops being chalked up as "boys will be boys" and starts being kind of troubling behavior.

It's a little different in term of human resources when part of your job relates to team marketing and merchandizing. Whether he likes it or not, McKinnie represents the Ravens organization for as long as he's on the team, and when he gets in the news it's not Mr. McKinnie they are reporting about, it's "Ravens left tackle, McKinnie". And it impacts sales of jerseys and other products that bear his name. so yeah, the employer in this kind of situation gets to weigh in more.

But I agree there isn't anyone we can replace him with at the moment.

I thought McKinnie was through with that stuff for a while. Jacoby is getting a little too "Hollywood" for my tastes. They all need to put a bigger priority on football over partying.

I heard this segment too. You would think that he would vouch for Joe/Suggs/RR as leaders of the team, at the least. But of course, he had to say what he said...

For real, I wonder what was going through their minds when he was talking like that (if they saw it). Especially when he just told Joe that he was the leader now right before the AFC Championship game.

my prior post said agree to disagree  not sure what part of that u don't get . I don't agree with your opinion you don't agree with mine repeatedly quoting me hounding the same issue won't change  my mind  . oh and not that it matters to anyone here the story was on Jacoby Jones . Mckinnie was barely mentioned

Not happy at all about this. McKinney if I am not mistaken was one of the Vikings in their Love Boat Scandal awhile back. Jacoby needs to get back on the field. McKinney needs to focus more on football, because he did not play well this Sunday. Minor yes but can't have this kind of stuff  taking away from our focus on our next opponent.

without a doubt the news has made its way to them by now, I wonder how they respond..?

As much as I dislike McKinnie's awful blocking abilities and him talking the talk and not walking the walk.. He's still none the less a Raven right now. Do I wish that he took his job more serious? Of course. But let's wait until he's no longer wearing black and purple to criticize his every mistake.

I couldn't care less what he does once he has left. Having said that I don't think this is a major issue really but I am concerned the influence he could have on some of the other younger players.

Late to the partee again. What's this? Jones gets clocked with a champagne bottle? Did he forget to signal for a fair catch?

I wouldn't have believed it, until I read the bit about "Bryant McKinnie" and "partying"

The Love Boat debacle is the 1st thing that popped into my head.

Sweet Pea must be making her parents Popeye and Olive Oyl so proud.

I bet she was listening to The Black-Eyed Peas when this went down:

Go out and smash it, like all my cars
