Ravens @ Bills

232 posts in this topic

The bills have played an uptempo, short passing offense, with the occasional shot downfield. They have 2 very capable running backs in Spiller and Jackson.

So defensively, stop run like we have been doing, watch all the crossing patterns...

this is not a trap game imo. lol! our offense hasn't done a thing worth being proud of or that declares that they are a force of nature in 3 games now.  smh!  they can't run the ball and receivers are barely getting open and catching passes. the defense is playing a lot better but imo, the reality is that the Ravens can't afford to overlook or underestimate "any team" at this point!  and that includes both Buffalo and Miami in the next 2 weeks.

You took the words right out of my mouth. We're in an "improvement" period and I'm sure nothing is being taken for granted. Hopefully we see another step in this game towards becoming a complete Team. If we can get to the bye at 5 and 2 or even better, 6 and 1, we should be in good shape for the PO run. The O line play and running game has got to get better!

I like the Ravens in this match up. Cam Cameron is gone, expect a different offensive style. We will get rolling, Brown is going to be a big target soon. Stay calm and let the kinks work out.

What peeves me off is CBS and the NFL! This game most likely won't get any TV coverage since the 0-3 Stealers (love it!) are playing in London. Wonder what game they will show??

GO RAVENS

Mad props to James Ihedigbo for really stepping up his game and making us forget about Pollard. I like what I saw from Elam too.

No big plays AND they both laid the wood. Can't really ask more from the safeties.

That being said, this should be another defensive game up in Buffalo, as we generally dominate rookie QBs.

They just lost to the Jets, while we just held the Texans offense to 3 fg's.
I'm going 24-6 Ravens.

While I think the ravens will win this game by a good margin. That is poor reasoning. That type of logic never applies to the nfl. The gap b/w the worst team and best team is more razor thin than any sport. Any team has a realistic chance to win every Sunday. The individual match ups are a much better indicator. While still not fool proof. Better.

We might have just seen the difference between the best and worst teams in Seattle yesterday.  That looked to be more than just a razor-thin gap.  Jacksonville did not have any realistic chance to win.

However, the Bills are not Jacksonville.  Neither are the Jets, who the Bills just beat.  The Texans, who we just beat, aren't exactly the Seahawks, either.  We will have to play a solid game to win because, you're right, it isn't a given.

I think Torrey will get his first TD and Joe will break the 300yd mark. I also think the defense will force a int or two. One of which will be Matt Elam's first.

I will say though, a rookie QB, Webb covering S Johnson and the way our run defense has been, I wouldn't be looking forward to this game either.

Bills fans are overall looking pretty positive for this matchups:

Lmao.

lol!  they are already predicting a loss!

cool!  but, I don't buy into it at all!  our Ravens have got to play like a dominant offensive and defensive juggernaut and our offense has not shown that in 3 games while the defense is starting to gel and come together after their horrendous and embarrassment of a performance in Denver.  of course, I expect us to win this match up but who knows the way our offense has played?  i'm wondering can they move the chains and score offensive TDs?

Maybe Dickson can get him a couple catches to build some confidence in this one.... It's about time he makes a contribution to the team

Bills might want to forfeit, might not be much left of them after Baltimore

^Hahahaha... so sad. I feel so bad for Bills fans.

Hey, at least we can say that we've never lost to Dallas! Lol!

Sorry, just hard to take Buffalo seriously.

It might be a trap game but our team won't take it anything differently than any other team cuz we got blown out, humiliated by the Denver.  It's a lesson learned.....

McKinnie might disagree with this though..

The Bills are hurting on defense and have a rookie QB.  Bills D is so riddled with injuries I'm surprised guys on this board haven't gotten a call yet.  We lose this game and we have serious issues.

I fully expect the offense to move the ball consistently all game.

I know quite a few Bills fans.
They are all super cool.

I admire their dedication in spite of the condition of their team.

The jaguars will beat at least one good team this year. And Seattle will have at least one emberrasing loss before its all said and done. There want one playoff team last year that went on unscathed. Denver is going to have a bad loss too it's the nature of thd beast.

you are correct ravensdan. seattle is looking mighty tough. the 49ers are overrated, well at least there qb is. there defense is pretty sound. kaepernick is a joke. i told a bunch of 49ers fan wait until this year before crowning this guy. teams are going to figure that pistol offense out and stop it. the 9ers got beat soundly the last 2 weeks. i also said trading alex smith was a bad move. kaepernick looked like he was going to cry after yesterdays beat down lol. he's starting to realize he is below average. he may have a few good games but thats it. 9ers fan's are going to wishing that they didnt trade smith after the halfway point of the season.

Denver only lost to Atlanta, New England and Houston last season.  The Falcons only lost to division opponents, and the Jaguars only beat division foes.  I get what you're saying, but it is certainly not a given that every good team looses to a random bad team and vice versa every year.  I agree with your conclusion that we have to take the Bills seriously, but I disagree that all teams are as close as you say.  There is a big difference between Jacksonville and Seattle.  It is not close at all.

Their secondary is the weak link; teams are going to pass against them until they defend it; by then, their run defense will be vulnerable.  The Colts exposed them, and Kap sucks as usual.  IDK why the media craves for Kap's love so much.....

Hope the Rams bury them.

Buffalo has names all across their defense (Super Mario, Marcell Dareus, Jairus Byrd) but their defensive rankings speak for themselves (28th overall, 19th pass, 30th rush). This shapes up as a good opportunity to figure out our offensive woes.

As far as Bills O is concerned, it's a rookie QB, but he's a playmaker, and if Spiller plays that makes it all the more difficult. Still, if our D can play even a fraction as well as they did against Houston, this shouldn't be an issue.

These are the types of games that really concern me. Away games against teams that aren't supposed to be doing well. It brings back some bad memories about Jacksonville.

We ought to play like this is a must win every game moving forward. No complacency whatsoever if we need to make the playoffs this year again! Go Ravens. Win in Buffalo!
