Ravens @ Bills

232 posts in this topic

Bills are currently ranked 30th defending against the run, hopefully we get our run game going next week.

Powell blew them up today.  And he's known as a guy who takes what's blocked.  A game against the Bills might be just what our run game needs.  It'll open up the deep PA.

Like I said earlier.  I love our match ups in this game.

By my count, we have no healthy RBs, so that could be an issue.

Buffalo plays with heart, especially at home. Regardless of injuries their coaching staff plugs in folks from the roster and gets them to perform, though they are incapable of dominating superior talent. Their MO of hanging around to make a frantic push to pull out a victory ordinarily would make me nervous, but a rookie quarterback and their own chemistry issues and injuries coupled with obvious areas of improvement that will focus our team this week to make this a lead pipe lock. Ravens 30 Bills 13
buffalo? hmmm. it has been said that to win on the road a team has to pack their running game and a defense! Ravens defense - Check! Ravens offense - Suspect! ~Mili
We need to get our run game going big time .We have two premier backs in Rice & Pierce and we are wasting them with poor run blocking .

Did Pierce get injured?

I think the jets gave us a pretty good road map of what we need to do to beat the bills. And they did this despite 150 yards in penalties and a couple of interceptions. And Spiller got a bit banged up in the loss. I like our chances.

i think the passing game shines against the Bills and so does our Pass Rush as the Bills just gave up 8 sacks to the jets.

Only thing concerning about the Bills is that run game. If we can shut that down than we will win but that 1-2 of Jackson and Spiller is troublesome. Although Spiller is comming off his worst game ever.

10rush for 9 yards and 2 fumbles.

Billls have some talent at WR and Spiller still scares me (if he is even healthy). I just don't think they can score many points with a rookie QB.

I think we win comfortably and maybe our offense gets back on track.

Now i feel a little sorry for them tbh..lol

Just grateful Ravens are doing good seeing how steelers are doing.

I think we have been stellar against the run.  I know Foster and Tate had pretty good AVGs, but we kept their longs to 10 yards.

Plus if we can get Canty back in the lineup, I'm not to worried about facing their run game.

This has the makings of a difficult game for us. Away game in a potentially hostile environment, some really nice pass rushers going against a maddeningly inconsistent OL, a terrific FS and a very nice CB going against a rather weak WR corps. Then again, our DL has been ridiculous and our LBs are probably better than theirs as well, even if Alonso has looked very good. I like our TEs in this game IF they can catch the ball. Our RBs should have a good game if they're healthy. They have an underrated OL but I don't like it going against our DL.

The key factor of this game will be the QB. Joe needs to have a good game and Manuel needs to be eliminated. I hope Brown plays in this game, because I think he can do a very good job as the spy against Manuel. Hopefully Canty is back as well. He would be a big upgrade for our DL--not that Spears played poor, because he didn't.

With our front seven, their offense as a whole could be eliminated

This has "trap game" written all over it.  Houston was a big test for us, and we destroyed them.  We need to really be focused this game and come out with the W - the Cincy outcome was sad, but maybe we'll get lucky and Hoyer will do it again next week.

Good call, haha.  The only difference is we're gonna be on the road.

this is not a trap game imo. lol! our offense hasn't done a thing worth being proud of or that declares that they are a force of nature in 3 games now.  smh!  they can't run the ball and receivers are barely getting open and catching passes. the defense is playing a lot better but imo, the reality is that the Ravens can't afford to overlook or underestimate "any team" at this point!  and that includes both Buffalo and Miami in the next 2 weeks.

Traveling to a place like buffalo always presents a challenge. Since its early in the year weather is unlikely to be a factor. On defense it's a good thing to be facing the young qb early on in the year. The biggest thing we must be aware of is his scrambling ability. I expect upshaw to play a big role in this contest. Containing Manuel as well as the outside run game. I expect the d to force 3 turnovers in this one. Spiller is their biggest playmaker and looks to be limited. We can't let Manuel get in a rhythm early with easy completions and screen passes.
Our offense matches up quite well. I expect success both running and passing. Williams is good, but no JFK watt. I expect flacco to throw over 400 yards and 3 scores.

Watch out for Fred Jackson, he's playing like there's no tomorrow. That would be my advice to BAL's D.

Not afraid.
Canty will be back and the super rotation we have will be more than enough to stop him.

We contained Foster today. Not worried about Jackson

I don't feel this is a trap game. I expect them to pull out a win like we did against Cleveland. Low scoring game because we always play down to our competition.

The offensive line will have there work cut out for them this week with the bills D-line. They must keep Flacco clean, and begin to open running lanes for the backs.
