Browns looking to trade WR's (and more?)

82 posts in this topic

Just saw on NFL Sunday Countdown that the Browns are looking to trade their two receivers Gordon and Little. There are a few teams who have a good interest. Any chance of the Ravens looking to get any of these two? Would be a big help to our WR corp.

I don't think we're looking at WR.  Gordon is intriguing, but he'll cost too much for us.  Apparently, the Browns have already received a "really good" offer for Gordon.

I'm doubtful they would trade with us or anyone in the division but I'd give them a 4th round pick for Gordon and a 6th round pick for Little.

Yeah I heard the same thing. It would be a nice pick up for our team.

Yeah I'm doubting it's us.  The Ravens typically don't give up anything good for an off the field risk like Gordon.  If we could snag him for a late round pick, then I see us taking the chance.  It's just his off the field issues that are the problem, and I doubt we would give up anything significant for that risk.

Not interested in Little at all.  Even though I doubt they'd consider it, I'd be making a play for Jordan Cameron.

Can we get Joe Thomas? Since they are in super purge mode?

They've received offers and Schefter (I think?) reported that they aren't interested in moving him, unfortunately.

Even they're not that stupid.

I would offer a 4th rounder and a conditional 2015 pick (maybe a 6th) for Josh Gordon. He would provide a HUGE boost to our WR group. Remember that Jacoby Jones is a FA after this year.

NOOOOO
Ok. I'll happily take Gordon. Too talented even with his issues.

He can catch and is a big body. Give him a good QB and see what he can do :P

Just keep Trawick away from him. Sorry had to get that out!

Hey, I would too.  I'm just not sure the team does based on how much they've invested in off the field issue guys in the past, which is not a lot.

They won't trade within the division. Their goal is to improve next year and they cannot if they help their division rivals improve more.

Plus Little can't catch.

Either Marlon Brown works out for us or we'll draft high enough to get somebody really good at WR. Either way we will end up with someone way more talented than either one of those guys.

Apparently the only 3 guys they have no interest in trading are Thomas, Mack, and Cameron.

Too bad. Jordan Cameron would be a good get for us with our TE problems.

How about Haden?

Saw it on Twitter. I'm assuming they just missed him. I doubt the Browns would trade him either, so in my opinion, make it 4 lol.

Can we even afford his salary? No offense to you. What I want to say is we make fun of people a lot for making outlandish trade ideas. People often say we can't afford trading Ray Rice because of the accelerated salary cap. That's a fact. The same applies to Joe Thomas. We definitely can't afford him at his current salary. We would need to restructure significantly to fit him under. I recognize it's probably in jest but let's all be careful of being hypocrites here.

It was more of an attempt at saying THE BROWNS ARE STUPID rather than an actual idea.

Again, the Browns aren't going to trade within the division. And no, we can't afford anyone who earns more than about 1.5 million this year. And even that amount isn't realistic because that would leave us with no ability to replace anyone who gets injured.

Also I'm surprised none of the trolls on here suggested we try to buy Rainey back.
