Hahaha. Just saw a ticker on NFLN that Weeden is currently the Browns leading rusher. I think it said 7 yards.

Well Jacksonville... your move. Not saying you should trade Justin Blackmon but if you do, send him to us for revenge for Cleveland even daring to compete with you for Bridgewater lol.

Interesting idea. He is like a younger Q.

But won't happen. Not even the Jags are dumb enough to do it lol

Someone posted on twitter the career numbers for Ingram and Richardson. They are eerily similar and underwhelming. Bama players are damaged goods.

Except that they are replacing Richardson with McGahee who is just coming off his own season ending injury. So I doubt health plays large in this decision. And Rainey has never started as a RB in the NFL, so I don't think we can even say whether he is equally injury prone or not yet. Peyton Hillis got pretty banged up at RB before Richardson was brought in so I'd say the way Cleveland uses its RBs has a lot to do with it.

Peyton Hillis was recently cut by Tampa.

And he's benched so that means for their game today.. No starter will have a single rushing yard correct?

Adam Schefter just tweeted that Cleveland are listening to offers for both Greg Little and Josh Gordon...

They're really cleaning house already.

At least we know we're finishing no worse than 2-14.

I doubt they'd do a deal with us but we need to offer them a 4th for Gordon right now.

I'd send them a 4th round pick for Gordon. Lol. Doubtful they'd take it since he would remain in the division and divisional trades are very rare.

Yeah, I think the same thing. I can't imagine his value is high currently due to his possible future suspensions.

He's one more incident away from a season-long suspension, isn't he?

I love it when a FO tries its best to derail a team to get a high draft pick, only to see the players beat adversity and win games.

But I agree about maybe the 'bama guys are products of the system and not stellar talents.

Saying that they got too many carries in college and now they are burned out?

Figured it was best to post it here.

Went back to the Browns board, wow they are over reacting like crazy to Trent's game as a Colt.

Thread Title: 2.7 YPC Looks like we snookered Indy

They also are saying how Bradshaw looks better and that they made the right decision in trading him and are even calling him a bust. LOL, it's one game, I'm sure Trent's numbers will improve once he starts to learn the playbook very well.

I bashed the trade initially, but I've come around, and not because of Richardson's performance yesterday.  This move totally aligns with my philosophy on team building, running backs are not very important.  Richardson has shown nothing thus far to indicate he's a special player IMO, so Cleveland dealt him now while he still has some value.  This was a good move for a team that looks like it may be advancing towards the new thinking in the NFL.  The difference in production between Richardson and Willis should be negligible, and it's not like this team was a title contender anyway.

Asked to play through injuries more likely. Its not just RBs though, most players that come out of Bama have issues in the NFL.

I can see that. You may have a point there.

I don't think Richardson has very good vision or patience.

I agree with that too.

It seems indeed that the Browns duped the Colts the way the Eagles duped the Cardinals into trading for Kevin Kolb. Despite the big trade and the hype that went with it, Richardson has been BENCHED.

He fooled a lot of people. Even analysts I actually respect thought Richardson would be something special. What a massive foul up from the Colts. This is why, despite the talent at QB they're still a terrible organization. Andrew Luck could not have been placed in a worse situation. And seriously, there was no reason to trade for a RB anyway. They should be throwing the ball with Luck. As much as their stupid OC wants it, they are not anywhere close to being a power run team.

First the Bengals get a couple of high draft picks from the Raiders for Carson Palmer, now the Browns have grabbed a first rounder for a bench warmer.  I'm just not enjoying our division rivals having extra chances to draft potentially great talent.

Happily, the Browns don't seem to have a clue how to draft.  Last time they had two first rounders they took Richardson and Weeden.

This new FO seems pretty clued up. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous about how well they might do. If their first round picks are franchise QB and legit WR2, they can snap up a decent RB in the second (or even third) round and instantly become one of the better teams in the AFC.

As for me, I first laughed at the Browns, then moved later that day to thinking it was a good move for both sides. I think the Browns are definitely better off at this stage, but the Colts might have a hard time seeing any decent return for him. I also think that pick would have been better spent on the o-line or the defence. Maybe the Colts moving out of Baltimore was (eventually) a blessing in disguise for the city.
