UPDATE: Trent Richardson traded for then Benched by Colts

266 posts in this topic

Did the new owners not move up to take Richardson last year, or have they changed since?

That was still under Homlgren, the new regime traded away Richardson. Usual not our guy so let's get our guy.

Anyone want to trade 3 7th round picks in 2014-2016 for Joe Thomas and Joe Haden, I mean if they are giving away first round picks why not lol.

Thanks.  I love this part: 28 members and 423 guests are reading it.  In other words, 423 people want to see the reactions of the Browns fans.

LMAO

And the Browns want to get out of the basement of the AFC North?: Okay they are loaded with draft picks but.... can they put together a solid draft?

Good luck Trent. Glad you're out of the North.

If a first got Indy Richardson, I'm guessing a bag of potatoes could get Jacksonville Brandon Weeden?

My favorite from the Browns board

"So what happens when he runs for 1800 yards this year for the colts and we take a flyer on the 18th pick of next years draft hoping he pans out? Any 35yo QBs coming out of college next year?"

So glad he's out of the AFCN. I feel the Browns could've got more for him. Colts now have one of best young QB, RB, WR, & TE's. now they must focus on OL & D lol.

What if the Browns somehow end up with Bridgewater & Clowney.

I think they're looking more at what Leach and Pierce bring to the table. With Rainey and TRich they have that dynamic 1-2 punch that we have.

Rainey doesn't play for the Colts, he plays for the Browns.

We need someone to make that Oprah Meme again except.. "You get a Brown... You get a Brown, Everyone Gets a Brown"

NFLNetwork just reported that this trade is Indy's attempt to replicate Baltimore's power running game. Hey look! Another ex Raven coach trying to replicate the Ravens organization in another city.

why not though. We have a great organization. Granted it will only really work with the ppl in our FO and especially the owner.

I hate to say this but this reminds me of the Marshall Faulk trade. Richardson is going to shine in Indy and just like how Colts fans felt seeing Faulk become apart of the "Greatest Show on Turf", Browns fans are going to feel the same.

On Sportscenter, all they were saying was, "The Browns are looking to find pieces to build around and make the offense more explosive in the coming years"... um, there is a major problem with this. Richardson has been their best skills offensive player in years, and it's not even all that close when you look at it. And he's young. So if this was the case, they should've kept him and built around him, instead of letting him go for just one pick.

Is it really just for one first round draft pick? Couldn't they get a 2nd or 3rd pick for him? I feel like Cleveland got screwed over.

Browns choose #1. Selects Bridgewater.

Browns trade (some pick in the 20's), 2nd round pick and next years 1st for #2 overall where they choose Clowney.

Would be crazy haha

I wouldn't go Clowney.... I'd go Marquise Lee and give the QB another weapon lol

Well that tells me they have to be thinking QB in next year's draft.  Bridgewater if they get lucky enough, but there are some very good quarterbacks in the 2014 class, IMO.

There are some nice QBs in this draft. I just don't get how they only get one first rd pick. The browns have to be prayin this works out or their whole FO is getting canned.
