Goodbye to Throwbacks Unis?

If it's the same type of helmet, this shouldn't matter.  I don't know why the NFL arbitrarily decided to do this, it's not like they're wearing old style helmets with the throwback unis.  They just change the color and decals usually.

Wait, do they actually think that the players were going to wear old school helmets? I cant help but laugh.

well... it's still possible if teams just replace the decals on the side of the helmets. But I'm not a fan of this.


Helmet colors have changed for a lot of teams, including the Bucs, Pats, and Cowboys. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. You'd think using new helmets without wear and tear would benefit the players.

Without knowing just how much protection players get from their regular helmets vs. the helmets they wear for the one week, I won't pass judgement, but on the surface it certainly sounds silly.
