Oh wow...hadn't been paying attention that the Flyers and the Caps have been thrown back together again. Oh my yes....this is going to be an epic season.

And I'm always amazed at how quickly the hockey off-season seems to pass....geesh.

Yeah, June to September isn't long at all.

As a Caps fan, I'm really excited that we're part of NHL's opening night... I'm hoping for big things this year.

Trying to get into hockey this year, but it appears I'm not getting the game in my dorm. What network are the games usually aired on?

Weird networks, like NBC Sports and whatever the other NBC Sports affiliate is called.  They have Sunday afternoon games on regular NBC, but hockey is kinda difficult to follow since they have really bad TV deals.

Yeah, not sure if I get NBC sports unfortunately.

Looks like the Caps had a rough night and the defense collapsed in the 3rd period.  I figure they're just going to try to score more than everyone else, but 4 goals should be enough to win.

Lets go Sharks! Please let this not be a boring year of getting in the playoffs and just stinking it up. Canucks are the first game get the W.

Caps barely skated by, they're letting up way too many goals early.  Defense has to tighten up a little, the offense seems to be doing well.

Most Caps games will be aired on CSN (Comcast Sports Net)

Thanks for the heads up!

I hate when they show the game on NBCsports. First I have to upgrade my Directv package for a day, second I have to listen to their totally biased guy Mike Milbury.

Best is when its on CSN (which is like 90% of the games).  Home-cooking.  Some of the best local commentators in the biz.

How does anyone think the Wings and the Leafs are going to do this season?

I am looking forward to seeing the two sides mix it up as often as they can.

Agreed! I remember meeting Joe Beninati  at BWI once. Really nice guy.

My Flyers suck. I'm waiving the white flag on this season. Peter Laviolette has been fired after 3 games. A huge mistake in my eyes.

The Flyers problem isn't coaching, they made some pretty bad personell moves in the last two years. Yet in typical philly fashion it's always fire the coach first.

After 22 years of being a die hard Flyers fan, I REFUSE to support this team until they get rid of Paul Holmgren as their GM.

Thomas Hertl scores 4 goals one night and I guess according to the Cap's head coach thats a rookie mistake?

Sorry he was good that night?

Ovechkin is unreal.

QFT.  You can say a lot about Oates' tenure, but the fact that he fixed Ove should give him a lot of leeway.

Colorado has been the team that has surprised me the most this year, Roy has been a great coach right now and is in my running for Coach of the year. I knew St. Louis was going to have a huge year also.

Right now it's Cup or bust for the Caps, we seriously need to go farther in the playoffs and win a cup. We were able to achieve the president trophy but no noise in the playoffs that year.

I love Crosby's love for the game and I respect him, the thing I love Ovi the most is that he has character, Sidney is just... boring.

Plus I have that same personality as Ovi.
