Sami84's point was that the G.M.'s recent 1st round picks have been questionable.

Matt Elam
Courtney Upsham (we'll count him as 1st round due to the marginal "trade down"
Jimmy Smith
Sergio Kindle
Michael Oher

Matt "Cleats" Elam is too small for the position. Ozzie astoundingly stated he had him rated the number 16 player on the board or something crazy like that. He's not even 5' 9' in bare feet. You can't be the last line of defense at that stature. Pollard is missed.

But I don't have as much of a problem with the recent drafts considering how late in the draft the Raven's have been picking. Still, he's let a lot of better players get past him of late. The real problem is the inability to evaluate in house talent properly and I'm attributing it to age at this point. Something ain't right.

I'm wondering if healthy if Jameel McClain replaces Bynes after he comes off the PuP.

I feel like that's the most likely scenario.

Because he doesn't have a pick and is therefore automatically considered a bust even though he's only played 3 games.

Elam is gonna work out. part of me can't help but wonder about say, Robert woods in rd. 1. (felt that way before the game incidentally)

Look I liked Robert Woods, but he was a second rounder at best. Paterson, Nuke, and Austin were the only real First round guys and two of them were pretty raw.

He was drafted in the second round. I still contend he was the most "ready for the NFL right now" out of the guys you mentioned.( I would put only Hopkins on the same level). Hopkins was gone when we drafted and i'm not saying we necessarily should have picked him at 32 over Elam but I believe his success in the league will be comparable with Elam's (if we are lucky).

While you may see him as a "2nd rounder, at best", I see a "can't miss" football player.
