Kudos to Jimmy Smith!

Smith didn't play that badly against Denver either. People just have a bias against him. Graham continues to be our weakest CB.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with Corey.  He played so well down the stretch.

If Caldwell's play calling reminds you of Cam, you must not know a lot about offensive formations.  The problem is we lack speed and defenses are starting to crouch on us.  Missing Jacoby and Deonte is hurting us a lot.

Man I could swear the Brown's safeties were never lined up further than 12 yards from the LOS...either of them.  The Browns sat on so many routes today it was insane.

We need to start taking shots to Marlon on the outside even if its just to put it in the back of the defense's minds.

Yeah, it's like 2010 all over again.  Just so slow.

EDIT:  We need to get Deonte involved when he gets back.  Just to keep them honest.

Just remember there is a difference between Eric Decker, Demarius Thomas, and Wes Welker compared to Greg Little, Davone Bess, Travis Benjamin. Although good game Jimmy!

I will give him his props. He did have a good game.

Still not going to jump on that Wagon. Need to see it on every game.

I am very worried about our Defense as a whole. For all the Great Players we have up front there shouldnt be any excuses for not getting as much pressure as we should. The BROWNS O line plain out sucks, only person that is a pro bowler is J.Thomas at left tackle.

Very, Very, Very worried about this Re Re play calling. Again running it on 2 and 22, are you kidding me. Its getting old.

I really dont get how the Offense completely stops doing what is actually working ( throwing a 12 - 15 yard slant pass up the middle), yet when something isnt working , they keeping doing it expecting a different outcome. If that isnt insanity , i dont know what is.

There is just NO imagination, also, can you please give me a little trick play once in a blue moon. A flea flicker wouldnt hurt once and a while.

Uh what? Schwartz has played well last year and Mack is one of the best centers in football. Their guards aren't bad. They've had a bad string of luck at guard. Greco and Pinkston look good or at least average.

LOL. No. This is not the sandlot.

The team must establish their identity, not do crazy Pop Warner stuff. A flea flicker should ONLY be used to catch defensive backs that are over-committing and selling out to the run hard. A play to break the game open when the team is clickiing.

 Not really,

You do know Onel Cousin is their Right guard.

We do obvious run plays,  The CB knows when we are going to run.  You cant keep running the ball up the middle when they are Stacking the line that much. Switch it up.

So one bad player makes an entire OL? Schwartz, Mack and Thomas are at least above average.

You're mad because we're running on first down?

Umm, who said that.  Im mad when we are constantly running  when its 2 and 20 plus, it isnt fooling anyone and its becoming a normal thing.

I was kinda glad that Rice came out of the game ( not glad he was hurt ) because i knew we were going to get positive yardage, even if it were 2 yards , they were hard fought yds from B.P that would have been the usual tackle behind the line of scrimmage that we always get from RICE.

Anyway, I'll be watching Jimmy next week. I hope we put Smith on Johnson and Webb on Hopkins.

Man, we will be tested with those guys.  Our safeties will have to keep one eye on Foster, not to mention taking care of an underrated Owen Daniels at TE.  It's a good test for us.  That's for sure.

He did play well today but i'm not gonna say he found something yet because of how garbage their receivers are outside of cameron. I'll wait and see if he can play consistently. Good start.

He played excellent, hope he keeps it up. With Webb also playing well we now have 2 rock solid starting corners out there. We just need a lot more consistency from our safeties and not give up those 2-3 bigplays each game then we will be just fine on defense. We've got outside pass rush, inside pass rush, the run defense is also really good. Just need our safeties to pay more attention.

Love bringing up old threads. But in all seriousness How would you grade Jimmy's performance against the Steelers? Didn't see Ben throwing his way to much yesterday.

No one's throwing his way much anymore. Much improved. There was an obvious learning curve that I think he's finally beat. He's not perfect, but he's starting to look like a first round pick.

Now if only Webb can go back to his 2011 form.

Or Webb declined to a point he's being targeted every time

My boy! I'm so happy for Jimmy. I love it when someone who's hated on unnecessarily shows people how stupid they can be. You have to give guys time to grow. These are called growing pains. It happens when you don't like playing your rookies a lot. That's my biggest gripe with this team. I love it and hate it.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I hate it more than I love it because stuff like this happens.  Who knows how good Kruger could have been if we didn't dick around with him position wise and assignment wise.  Then Suggs gets hurt and we have a first time starter and a rookie starting at OLB for 5 weeks.  Talent should play always in my book unless the talent is stupid and can't figure out how to play his assignment.

It irritates me to no end watching Bynes take invaluable snaps away from Brown.

I don't mind it as Brown is a rookie. He's got to learn and so does Bynes. Bynes improved after he had snaps during our growing pains last year. He started. I want Brown to get those chances. He's not Luke Kuechly who also didn't look great his first couple games.

I'm okay with Brown's snap counts right now but they need to increase. There's a realistic chance Brown and Bynes will be our starting ILB next year.

For reals!!!! Thanks goodness Marlon Brown got a shot. Can only hope that Juice gets more snaps now.

If he got drafted by the Pats, he'd probably be an option for a lot of people's fantasy lineups

I didn't even notice Jimmy yesterday, so I would say that is pretty darn good. Don't know if anyone has any stats on the matter, but for all I know he didn't even play, that's how little I heard of him.

For what it's worth, Kruger told me he never put on or off weight moving from DE to OLB.  I met him at a radio event and he sat and talked with us for a while.  He said he just gained 15 lbs of muscle and they needed him to play DL because they were short on that part of the ball.

2 receptions for 30 yards

If he can stay healthy, he may yet live up to his potential, but he needs to keep working on his game to improve his consistency.

Right now, he's arguably our best DB.
