Ray Rice Injury

Stop it, lol. Yes, SOME people do abuse fantasy football in regards to worrying about points instead of a player's well being, but it is also a fun activity that friends and co workers can participate in to smack talk a little, have some fun, and maybe win a few bucks. Roger Goodell, will be the death of real football, not fantasy football, lol.

That is the problem. Winning a few bucks. That changes everything. You know another fun activity that friends and co-workers also participate in and talk a little smack over is REAL FOOTBALL.

Goodell is just giving the audience what they want. More points for their fantasy teams. That is how the game is changing. The few bucks is just the bait to lure suckers in.

Hopefully he won't be but if Rice is out for a few weeks re-sign Damion Berry.

i still won my fantasy this week. ill start rice again next week

be careful with that statement because people will think you are not concerned enough with a millionaire straining a muscle that will affect the quality of his life....haha.

Ray Rice is my dude....but that was an ego response on his part. #NoDisrespect

I think the point to take away from the negativity is that this is not the place to discuss fantasy.

Merely mentioning that he received spiteful & disrespectful comments (and he surely did) is an "ego response"?

Rice is by far the most popular fantasy player from the Ravens. I'm sure the vast vast majority of the people who would stoop to acting like that on Twitter are NOT also Ravens fans. Ray has gotten on his soapbox about stuff on Facebook before too, and that's his prerogative, especially when its this tasteless. But it does sort of come with the job. People act like idiots on the internet, its part of this day and age and fantasy is here to stay. He said his peace, but don't indict all of fantasy, there are plenty of ignorant people who watch football and don't play fantasy rooting for players to get injured or worse in any fanbase, but you can't judge a whole city based on a handful of mouthy idiots.

he said he stopped liking fantasy football because of comments. and said "God Bless" like he's on some higher level and the rest of us need help. dude strained a muscle....people did not get mad cause he got knocked out of a game with a concussion.  he's just being sensitive. I didn't read the comments.....but i'm sure it's no worse than a defender on the field.

Now if he got death threats & threats in general then I can understand his position and I stand corrected.....but i doubt anyone took it that far.  What type of comments were being left for him?

if i was Ray Rice I would have made a joke about having myself on a fantasy team and being disappointed.

If I was him I would just ignore people who make fantasy football more than it is.

The offensive line needs to play better so they all (Ray, Joe, Bernard,) can look good.  Plus his cap # is high next year...hmmmm.

Not to add insult to injury, but Rice had the worst rushing grade of his entire career yesterday before the injury.  It was the third worst grade of his entire career, with the other two being brought down by the fact that he's basically useless in pass protection.

Yeah, this doesnt look too good for Ray Rice.  If Pierce comes in and balls out its going to be very difficult to not keep starting him.  JS :268213:

And I thought he actually did well in pass protection yesterday, saw him pick up a couple blitzes.

With that said, I think next year is his last season with us. I really wish Caldwell would use him in the back field together with Pierce. Not sure at all why he doesn't do that.

i think rice is a sure cap casuality next year. hevk maybe vn this year if pierce does great. we are missing a ballhawk  cb/saftey other then webb. if getting rid of rice would allow us a legit upgrade in the secondary...im all for it.

He's here through 2015 in the least.  Any time before then, cutting him would cost us money.

Source: No structural problems for Ray Rice

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Initial tests on running back Ray Rice's injured hip did not reveal any structural problems, a source with knowledge of the situation told CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. The injury appears to be more muscular in nature.

Rice, who the Ravens said suffered a hip flexor, was not on crutches and was walking on his own after Sunday's game against the Browns. More tests are forthcoming, but initial signs are positive, according to La Canfora.

You have to keep your stars. I do think the FO gave too much money to Ngata, Suggs, and especially Rice though.

I'll agree on Rice. The game is won in the trenches, so I feel Ngata's and Suggs' contracts are justified. Though, I think their contracts should be swapped. You need pass rushers and linemen.

I still would have kept Grubbs over Rice.

Ngata is certainly approaching the point of his contract not being justified.
Grubbs over Rice? Is that a special at the China Wok? You crazy. KO is playing well enough.

I could never (in his current form) say Suggs isn't worth it. When do you really see him have a bad game? Hes one of the best all around OLBs in the league. The guy is a true great, stopping the run and will have over 100 sacks (career) , easily! No one trick pony!
