Do You Miss Dragonfly Now?

69 posts in this topic

JJ may still not be the most skilled receiver, but I think he has made strides towards becoming better. I also think if he had not gone down our passing game would be a lot farther along than it is at this point. Just having his speed on the field along with Torrey stretches the D and opens up the middle. I'm excited to see what Joe will do moving forward with what should now be a full complement of receivers.

Looks to me like Dragonfly is having a mid career jump in performance. His contributions are increasing every week and he's starting to look like an NFL receiver, not just a burner on kick returns.

Jacoby Jones, a TD waitin' to happen!

Jacoby has thrown his name in the hat for a new contract.  Good thing we might have a few dollars when we cut Oher and hopefully Cody.

Oher yes agreed, but Cody will be cheap, and I think he's starting to come into his own.

Just needs to stay healthy and hungry,

(I mean hungry for more success, not hungry for more junk and fast food.)

I still think we need a more consistent playmaker to line up opposite of Torrey and we currently don't have that type of WR on this team. Jacoby is a very good #3 and great returner, but he doesn't make up for the loss of Boldin (or atleast what Boldin was in the last playoffs), imho.

I agree we could use a #2 WR, but I don't think we'd have noticed Boldin gone half as much, if Pitta doesn't get injured.

Hes a good player, but if Draughn and Doss do halfway decent on returns until Deonte or Asa are back, and Brown continues to work out as receiver, the Ravens might not even miss a step. Jacoby was an exciting player to watch, but not a position that should make or break us. Next man up. We will see tomorrow.

Doss scares me. He has fumbled it too much it seems.
