Week 2 Discussion (Other Games)

1,080 posts in this topic

Week 2 is officially here and we kick off with an AFC East Rivalry. The Patriots welcome the Jets to Foxboro as they look to upset the Patriots after a stunning victory last week against Tampa.

Key Games:

Vikings @ Bears: Both teams are 1-0 while the division favorite Green Bay Packers are 0-1. The winner of this game could get an early season advantage in the division race.

Titans @ Houston: Another early divisional game that could go a long way toward who wins the division. Titans surprisingly upset the Steelers at home and get a chance to do the same to Houston.

Chargers @ Eagles: THE game to watch that apparently brings good luck to the team who plays Philly at home. If tradition continues, the Chargers should somehow be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. Yet, the Eagles offense is faster than a speeding bullet and I'm not sure the Chargers can keep up with Chip Kelly's offense.

Broncos @ Giants: Peyton vs Eli.. blah blah blah, next!

49ers @ Seahawks: A Division Rivalry that has reached the levels of Ravens-Steelers and the home winning streak is on the line. Seattle was perfect at home but San Fran looks to give them their first home loss of the year. Boldin will be put to the test in this one.

AFC North Related:

Steelers @ Bengals: Bengals gave up an 11 point lead to the Bears, the Steelers couldn't score until garbage time late in the fourth. Plus they loss to the Titans. We all know we would rather see this game end in a tie.

The Vikings are not 1-0. They lost last weekend. This game is important because the Bears are my suicide pick.

Just think - two teams in the AFC North will post victories on Sunday.  I know which two I am pulling for to come out on top Week 2.

They have no offense tonight. I was already picking the Jets as my upset but now with no Amendola, the Patriots are screwed.

Brady benefiting from Receivers who actually got open, caught the ball when it came to them, and have the speed to get yards after the catch? Surprise surprise.

The Pats gain so many yards after the catch, it's crazy. Brady rarely needs to throw downfield. ELITE!!! I guess Tom Terrific will be hitting those slant and flat routes all day.

I guess, we're not the only ones with problems at ST. Ahh Jets, no matter how badly we do, you always make us feel better about ourselves.^^ The Jets are the good Samaritans of the NFL. :D

if the patriots win itll be how god-like brady is to win without his star recievers...it'll just make our loss that much more painful

Yeah, throwing the ball on a short pass to his right and then watching his receiver run it across the field for a TD. God-like? -_- That's one lazy god. :P

As much as I think, that Russel Wilson is overrated, Wilson atleast looks like he is having fun. Geno on the other looks constantly annoyed.

I really want to root for Geno, because I feel like he is underappreciated, but he is really making it hard for me to actually like him.

Well, yeah. But, that happened for so many years, I barely notice it anymore. -_-
