If you're a savvy fantasy player like me you probably ended up with both David Wilson and Stevan Ridley on your team, given their lower-tier rankings in most lists. But we all know what happened with those two....

Are you guys holding fast? I know Vereen will be out an extended period of time, so Ridley should be OK, but what if his fumbling persists? And as far as Wilson goes, he doesn't really have the requisite stature for short-yardage work, and having someone vulturing his TD's may be problematic.

Thoughts?

What on earth are you talking about? He fumbled more than once this season? I'll answer that for you - he has fumbled the same number of times as Ray Rice after 2 games.

Ridley is obviously hurt by Amendola being injured as well as the absence of Gronk. How savvy could you possibly be if you don't take that into account? OR are you in an 8 or 10 team league where you can salvage a quality free agent?

I have Ridley too and chose not to take Forte since I had him in a separate league. There is no RB out there that you can trust aside from beastmode and AD. Too early to be hitting the panic button. Ridley is one of the guys that I would trust given his sturdiness and likelihood to develop some consistency. Especially if the wideouts there get on the same page by the end of the first quarter of the season....remember? Its week 2 only. End of the quarter of the season will be in 2 weeks..

I think Shady is pretty damn trustworthy.

There seems to be some fire in your voice regarding such an inconsequential topic so I'll chalk it up to the refs at the end of the Wisconsin ASU game (horrible horrible work by refs).

Actually, he nearly fumbled once early on before losing his first 'actual' fumble. I understand that he is hurt by the loss of Amendola and Gronk...but it's still Tom Brady behind center, and teams still have to respect his ability. So it's not like they are loading 9 in the box. Of course, a better passing attack will open things up. My main point of contention was he was outplayed by Vereen that game and is also not the pass catcher Vereen is, which hurts his value. Obviously with Vereen injured Ridley will be the "workhorse" and Gronk is coming back soon. But it's still Thompkins/Dobson/Edelman on the outside. And the Jets/Bills/Dolphins all field some strong run defenses this year, which hurts his value given he has 4 games remaining against them. And games against TB (top run D), Broncos, Texans and the AFC North. You don't seem to be taking that into account.

It's a 12-team league btw.

And as far as your last point, McCoy over Ridley by a long shot, given his pass catching ability

Ridley is firmly planted in my dog house. Luckily Lamar Miller just came out and Trent Richardson didn't do terrible. It's surprising that the guy I took in the 7th round is my best RB (Darren McFadden).

Justin. Tucker.

If he wasn't a Raven man I swear I would cut him first thing tomorrow lol.

...loss me my opening game against the defending champ, with $ on the line. 2 uncharacteristic misses.

Oh, VD too. Kinda made me wanna quit FF altogether lol

I think Shady is pretty damn trustworthy.

I can't trust his health, can't trust Forte's health (which is why I couldn't pull the trigger on him in the 2nd league), can't trust Spiller's health or the offense around him to make him as relevant as he should be in the rankings, can't trust Charles's health given that he gets way more touches than a 200lb back should get. I didn't want to go Ray Rice this year because I didn't know how good we'd be on offense.

You either can't trust their health, or you can't trust the offense they play on. Even with Shady, what happens if Vick or Cooper go down? I think Ridley should be ok since he has a sturdy build. Its a 16 game season and just like the real thing, you just need to get in the playoffs. Without Gronk, or Glass Amendola, and a bunch of rookies yet to sort things out, you can go 8 or 9 men in the box if you want. That should probably change soon enough for all GMs to get enough production....remember you gotta get hot at the right time.

I think Vereen got lucky but that's just me because I haven't seen that much for him.

Live and die by overanalyzing. It is more than a valid point. Because of those top run D's people surmise that it is unlikely that a guy will rush for 120 yards, and FAR MORE unlikely that he will score. Well, it is just as likely for a guy to rush for 2 TDs on 12 yards which will probably earn him 13 points in most leagues.

That happens all the time in Fantasy. Right premise, and you never kick yourself for it because you had reason to believe that guy wasn't going to have a big game. But here's my question for you - who you gonna plug in there? In years past, you could sit him on the bench if you had Steven Jax to sub in, or if you had Chris Johnson to sub in. Not the case for most people in a 12 team league. Brandon Jacobs? Jason Snelling? Andre Ellington? Oh I know - James Starks because he is really going to have a great season even though the Pack do nothing but air it out every game? Or Knowshon Moreno even though he is on a running back committee? Even if you grabbed Jonathan Stewart, he's always been Deangelo's understudy...and that wouldn't be until week 7

So if Ridley is in your dog house, and you think you are "upgrading" good luck with your "upgrade".
