No guarantee the Ravens will repeat, but there's always a chance. I can't even rule them out based on their performances so far. They looked exactly the same against Denver and Cleveland as they did last season.

I saw legit points on both sides of the debate for 2013, but 2014 is soley on baseball. All they had to do was leave 9/4/2014 open and it would have been a great business decision and outreach to fans.

I'm with the crowd that just can't stand the O's and baseball anymore, b/c of their league and a lot of their fans in acting like Baltimore doesn't deserve to celebrate an NFL Championship.

Yeah we feel like the Ravens shouldn't be able to celebrate their SB win......

It's completely ignorant and asinine for you to say this. Kind of pathetic if you actually believe it.

LOL IKR, does he not realize a lot if not most O's fans are also Ravens fans. I guess it's black and white.

Oh yeah b/c these Peter Angelos and Bud Selig organizations have done so much to reach out to fans - lol

I also didn't say "all" Orioles fans, but it's pretty pathetic to see how many people are devout apologists for these orgs that they even do it 2014 when they don't have a leg to stand on.

I didn't say all O's fans just the ones who do and they do exist

Not sure what I can say to point that out, b/c it looks like I'm on probation for a month for just signing up - lol

Not a single person acted like that.

Maybe you didn't see that, but I did.  Remember, I didn't say all O's fans, but there are those that do exist, so we can't say none either.  Remember, not all of them are Ravens fans.

Regardless that takes away from the topic.  The MLB could have easily set up their scheduling software so that any city which has a conflict (9, I believe) would not have a home game that day.  Unfortunately, they didn't and we all know what a city can lose out on when that happens.

If you read the TOS you agreed to , you will see everyone is on preview for the first 15 posts because of spammers

Yeah, I saw read that part and understand about the spammers.  Just wasn't sure what the boundries would be within other parameters as well.

Thanks for explaining it to make sure I understood though.

Welcome to the Boards.

I agree. No matter what you thought about 2013, if (and yeah it's a big IF) we repeat, this one is all on baseball. I mean, it is 9 teams. Nine. You can't make sure 9 teams have an off or away game on one flippin' day?

This is the MLB making a statement at the expense of one NFL team and one city.

I agree.  All they have to do is program their scheduling software to not put home games on the first Thursday (which is never a full MLB schedule day) in 9 cities.  Easy to accomodate and this type of failure to reach out to fans just shows why the NFL passed them in popularity by far.

I love coming into a thread and seeing a CONSTANT bashing of the O's, and yet, nobody seems to want to blame Goodell. "Lets play on Christmas and Thanksgiving, but not Rosh Hashanah!" LOL. *leaves thread*

I think 2013 (on the NFL side) has to do more with NBC wanting the game on Thursday for the revenues than Rosh Hashanah.  They moved it to Weds in 2012 for the President, but they had no choice to give up Thursday then since they use the public airwaves.

2014 is all on the MLB.  What should have been an unforseen event before 2013 became a glaring problem.  Instead of setting up their scheduling software to make sure it wouldn't happen again in 2014, they scheduled another O's home game.  If people don't trust that the O's didn't do what they could to prevent this, it's probably b/c Peter Angelos hasn't really done much to endear himself with the fans and city since taking over the team.
