Is no one scared to death about our secondary?

Brandon Weeden will be scared to death of our secondary.

This is great I'll be watching the game on NFL Ticket. The only thing that I am scared about in regards to our secondary is Huff stinking it up. If he can rebound, our secondary should be solidified against Weeden.

We don't need to pick up anybody. We would be fine if they put elam in and moved huff. At the very least, i hope elam gets more playing time. i mean it is only brandon weeden.

It was only one game with all the conditions stacked against them. Give them a few more games before we get too worried about the secondary. I think we will see a lot of improvement this week. Then over the next couple of weeks they will get the fine points down. So, by week 5 or 6 we will be a top 10 defense. Our combined numbers with game 1 in the mix will skew the percentages and we will not be ranked in the top 10, but we sure will be playing like one. I think until we get to game 6 each game is going to be a nail biter and we will win some and loose some. Expect us to win the division and get to the playoffs. That is all we can ask for.

That secondary is younger and faster,  and it only going to improve, so no. webb is a top 5 cb now, graham proved himself in the postseason last year and is a great second corner, michael huff a free agaent we aquired is a solid fs, much faster then reed was. that was the purpose of changing are secondary making them faster and we did that. the only quistion mark is if elam can step up to be a starter on the ss side which he will middle of the season, your all worried about are secondary after facing probably the best wr core and qb duo ever lol. nothing to worry about if you actually know what your talking about and know the secondary as a whole not one game. Sorry eric but your response is god awful. learn your shit and maybe you wont be scared

The real jimmy smith stood up. Had a game

Fantastic game by him.  Turned and looked for the ball.  Tight coverage, and when it wasn't, he got his hand in there.

Jimmy was good and actually played the ball! Webb was solid again. Graham played better than last week but that's not saying much. Safety play was much better

Not terribly bad today.  I got annoyed that they kept giving up those slant routes all day, but that was the defensive playcall, not the players.

The only thing I'm annoyed is the lack of big turnovers. I miss the Ladarius "Spider" Webb that would make constant interceptions, Last week the only turnover we made was technically the fumble, which the defense had nothing to do with. Today there were no turnovers besides a forth down play (unless I'm forgetting something), and that was frustrating because they're necessary for momentum. You'd think it'd be easy vs Weeden too...

Hopefully they fix that.

No one throws in his direction so much any more.

QB's know his name.

My only complaint is the lack of turnovers and some of those are on the players and some is on the coordinator. There players have had chances to turn over the ball. Just haven't leveraged them.

There were a couple times, when Weeden clearly didn't manage to capitalize on some of his receivers being wide open. We still struggle with stopping TEs. This game would've been way uglier with a better QB playing for the Browns under center.

I wonder how many games there have been where the secondary allowed zero completions?

Believe it or not, it has happened.

Back on September 29, 1974, the Buffalo Bills actually won a game against the Jets in which the Bills completed 0 passes.

I guess the Juice was let loose that game?

That was a different era.  And OJ Simpson was as relentless in his running as he would later be in his crimes.

Flacco had 4 completions against the Patriots in the 2009 wildcard game.
