why did we trade boldin

He's already got 10 catches for 150 some yards......I think he was worth the money, and he would have dampened the blow of losing Pitta...
Of all of our off season moves, many of which I understood and supported, this one just keeps looking dumber and dumber...
I mean, I know he's getting older, but he only had one more year. I would have understood not resigning him maybe, but trading him away to save six million?

Cap room.  Thompson or Doss were supposed to take his place in the slot but Thompson got hurt and Doss couldn't put it together.

 

As much as I love Boldin.  Dumervil is a great addition for us.  I would rather have Dumervil for the next few years than Boldin for one.
