Article: the roster is a mess, and the coaches are at fault

You mean the same colin cowherd who has never had anything positive to say about this team in his life?

If you think that you don't listen often. He has routinely considered us one of the top tier teams both of the last two seasons. Best thing about him is he looks a little deeper and doesn't overreact to one week. I think he had us ranked as number 5 or 6 power rankings. His are always wildly different than espn's consensus ranks. And his quote was. Don't overreact to one week Denver and manning will blow alot of teams out this year. Ravens have elite front office, elite coach, elite qb. They'll be fine.

We've owned Cleveland.

Beating up on Cleveland has been a rite of passage into the playoffs during the "Harbaugh Era".  It's been the one certainty.

They are not a great team. They have a running game, but it's not outstanding. If they run for 100 yards against us it would be a fluke!

Their passing game is marginal. Weedon just threw 3 interceptions. (In the 1st half!!!) If they threw for 300 yards against us it would be a fluke!!!

If Cleveland got 400 yards total offense at M&T Bank it would be just crazy.

If Cleveland beat us in Baltimore it would be against all of man and God's laws. It would mean the cosmos are out of alignment. It would mean that something is terribly wrong. It would mean Pay Cuts for all Raven's Management.

So who do you think is going to win?

I heard him on the radio and was a bit surprised at his comments. I remember him bashing Ravens a couple times last year, but like he said today the Ravens are better then what they displayed against Broncos.

Its very interesting that Media Sources are beginning to broach the subject of Raven Management errors.  If next week's Brown's game goes as badly as I'm projecting expect those joining the Mismanagement Chorus to grow exponentially.

Did you all see the Outstanding game Cary Williams played today?  We cast him off for a million!!!!...lol

You could have saved Spears, Stokely, Clark, Dumervil and Canty's salary and kept our stars.

But Nooooooooooo....ozzie thought he knew best!

I wouldn't hang my hat on what "media sources" are saying. Weren't they the guys at the beginning of last season who claimed the Ravens defense was too old? And that we would never beat Indy in the playoffs? Or the Broncos? Or the Patriots? Or the 49ers in the SB? The media is a weed that thrives on stirring the pot. A well stirred pot sells papers/gets air time.

I didn't watch Williams play. Are you suggesting we should have kept him? He was arrogance wrapped in attitude, and not that great a CB.

The Ravens played well in Denver for a half and until newly extended Coach Harbaugh failed to challenge an obvious no catch that was signaled to the bench by Corey Graham we were in control of the game in the second half. Denver would have had to punt instead of going on to score the go-ahead TD. It is not uncommon for one or two plays to totally change the momentum of the game. That play, the bonehead play by Trawick and the dropped pass at the goal line by Clark were enough to turn the game around. We played a terrible second half but to our credit we did not throw in the towel. Our defense will get better and our O-line will too as they learn to communicate. Hopefully, Jacoby will return soon but in the meantime we need another legitimate tight end and a wide receiver to complement Torrey Smith. With all due respect to the current roster players, the two offensive players we need right now are not currently on the roster. Tandon Doss is not the answer either.

Its always easier to get over a blow-out loss than a loss by one point. If the players take this loss to heart, it may be the best thing that could have happened to them. Its certainly no time to panic. A win against Cleveland on Sunday will right the ship. Overconfidence and the thin air may have played a major role in the loss. I really expected us to win until the referees decided to turn a blind eye to one of Payton's errant passes.

So Lombardi's throwing in the towel on the Ravens after one game? WOW talk about fair weathered fan..

I honestly didn't think we were winning in Denver back when the schedule came out, then I really had my doubts when the O's screwed us over and they made it the opener..

This was Denvers SB, they had nothing but revenge on their agenda and they got it.

Now if Weedon comes out Sunday and lights us up, then we have to look at who's the blame go on.

Manning is a regular season stat monster, but stinks up come playoff time.

The premise of this article is looking more accurate by the day.

What happened to you?  You've gone off the deep end.

How so?

The Mellette move tells me we're likely going to have to depend more on Doss than I initially expected, which is a mess in and of itself. That dude makes Ed Dickson look dependable.

lol really? I don't think so. I'm just super irritated. I can be optimistic sometimes but right now I just don't see it. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I don't know how much we're goin to be forced to depend on Doss. He's got to 4th on the depth chart now, and possibly 5th once Deonte comes back. We are gonna use him to catch punts. He will get very few snaps and targets at WR, barring injury, which was the same for Mellette. Mellette was IR'd because we signed two people that will contribute (special teams) instead of just being listed as inactive every week.

He already got Andy Reid Fired from Philly, well not completely but he sure as heck helped.

Juan Castillo is a great offensive line mind and he helped the line a lot during our SB run. Also, he was a big reason why McNabb was able to throw like he did.

He was fired because they put him in a position that he wasn't remotely qualified for.

After watching our Safety play , anyone wish we had kept Pollard ? At least he could tackle .

I know it's hard and it is frustrating but let's give Huff another chance. It's one game. I know it's the first one but let's see what happens.

Smart media sources such as Collin cowherd are saying dont underestimate the ravens. Elite front office head coach and qb. And he is spot on. I suppose you. I'm sure you would prefer the jets front office, head coach and qb after their week one w right? If you can't see which teams have superior long term vision for their team and which don't you are clearly misguided. Surface media guys always freak out when these "stars" are let go but they aren't the core to building a team.

lolwut?
