Team shopping for WRs?

I still maintain that Tandon Doss and LaQuann Williams could be NFL receivers.  The problem is Flacco isn't the QB that can make these guys shine.

Come on, man.  Flacco consistently puts the ball where these guys should be able to catch it, and they consistently either drop it or don't run the route properly to go get the ball.  There's only so much a QB can do to "make his receivers better" as they say.  A QB can't compel them through the power of his mythical leadership to run the route right and catch the ball when it comes right at them.  A receivers either makes the play or he doesn't, and the QB can't do squat about it.  In the case of Flacco's receivers on Thursday last week, they didn't make the plays.  Torrey Smith and Brandon Stokley screwed up on a few routes each that should have led to first downs. Dallas Clark and Ed Dickson dropped a few passes each that came right into their hands, and just in general the game was a mess for all of our receivers.  Marlon Brown had arguably the best day out of the bunch, but even he had a huge first down pass that he hauled into his chest and wound up not finishing the catch, leading to another stalled drive.

I can't believe all of the Stokley hate. You'll be thanking Brandon later, just as you miss Dragonfly now.

He can't get open. I just hope it's rust but at 37 years old,it may not be. Noone was exactly knocking the door down to pick him up from what I recall.

I hope we will be thanking Brandon soon.Let's see if he can get open against the Browns.

Lol, yeah, it's not like he can just hit a button and control the receiver in running their routes, and it's not like he can run up to them and hand them the ball and say, "Here ya go!! Here's a catch!"

Trying to tell you guys you're wasting your time - all edreedfromtheu cares about is mobile quarterbacks.  Joe could throw for 100 TDs in a season, and this guy would still be on him because he doesn't run every other snap.

I don't think there are any WR's out there worth picking up Lloyd is too much of a diva. I like our blue collar WR's who will take hits and hold on to the ball. Torrey displayed that mentality in the Super Bowl. He took a huge hit and didn't get up asking for a flag. I'm waiting for Doss to prove his worth. With Mellette going to IR, he needs to step up. Stokley has hands, but he doesn't have ups or speed like Doss. Doss just needs to be consistent. I'm gonna laugh when I see the people calling for his haters after one amazing catch. In the few games he had catches in last year, it was just one catch per game, but that was with the worst Offensive Coordinator of all time.

No. They have to be from VA AND scramble

That's not totally true. What about Troy Smith, wasn't he from Ohio? Fromtheu hung on his jock constantly, until he crawled on his hands and knees out of Balt.
