Week 1 Discussion (Other Games)

848 posts in this topic

Well with one game in the books, Sunday is right around the corner and the rest of Week one will resume. Plenty of divisional games and conference games that we could look back on and see how it impacted the entire season.

Key Games:

Atlanta @ New Orleans: Sean Payton is back fresh from his suspension and is ready to take the NFC South from the Falcons. Or can Matt Ryan out duel Drew Brees to once again remain Kings in the South?

49ers @ Packers: Another rematch from the playoffs as the Packers look to do what the Broncos did and get revenge. The Packers OL may be a mismatch against the 49ers D so it will be interesting to see how they hold up. Or has the Packers D figured out Colin Kaepernick?

Giants @ Cowboys: NBC's obsession with this game is too far, this is the billionth time they have played on SNF. Forget Jerry World, you may want to rename it the place the Giants built. They are undefeated in this stadium since it opened up. Or will the Cowboys finally win a game against the Giants in their new stadium?

Eagles @ Redskins: Is RG3 healthy enough? Will Chip Kelly revive Michael Vick's career? So many other questions to be answered but a win here by any team will be key in the divisional race.

AFC North Related:

Titans @ Steelers

Bengals @ Bears

Browns @ Dolphins

We have such a good slate of games tomorrow, I dunno what to watch.  I think Chicago-Cincy is going to be a close one, but I'm leaning towards watching NO-Atl.  The late game to watch is obviously GB-SF.

I'm excited to see how much the Rams have improved! Bradford looked cool and confident the entire preseason, hopefully it carries over!

I really wanna see the Bears and bengals game. That's gonna be fun

Fun, huh?  Is that another way of saying you have a lot of fantasy players in that game?

No I have a bye week. :( (only 7 players in my money league).

I just wanna see a good ol defensive game. I'm also excited to see how both offenses will fare.

Some Pre-game news...

- 80/20 that Roddy White will not suit up against the New Orleans Saints.

- Blaine Gabbert is expected to be the starter for the Jaguars against the Chiefs.

I'm hoping 49ers, NE, Redskins, Cincy, and Steelers lose. My reasons: 49ers are getting too much positive attention, the patriots are overrated and constantly treated like princesses, RGIII annoys me these days and I don't want to hear that they are the better team in our area, if cincy wins, they are "the team to beat" in the AFC north, and honestly I just don't like the Steelers...

Weeden's already thrown a pick and the Titans gave up a safety.

Not that I have any idea why, that stupid Directv thing I paid extra for on Madden isn't working.

Flipping between New Orleans/Atlanta and Indy/Oakland. Oakland was doing decent until Pryor threw an interception in the end zone.

Eek.  Pouncey down.  Looks like his knee.

Mike or Maurkice?

Never mind La Canfora hooked me up.  Good, that's the Pouncey we want gone.

Weeden's already thrown a pick.

So did Dalton. 2 passes resulted in 3 yards gained and a pick. Wow, Joe needed 30 passes to get his first.

Brady got his first TD for the year to Edelman.  Bill wouldn't have let Welker walk if there wasn't a good backup plan in place, and it's not like Welker had exceptional hands to begin with.  Gisele was right to call him out a few years ago.
