Am I really reading this? Are people really suggesting that the Ravens screwed up the Draft by not getting Reid and settling for Elam and now he's a bust??? Is this for real?

Please stop feeding this troll.

Seriously?  There's no way you're a fan of this team.  It's all doom and gloom with you.  You seem to forget that we've been a perennial playoff contender.  But hey, one bad game must mean that the FO is losing grip and a change must be made, right?

I'm the biggest fan of this team and we Have Been a Perennial Playoff Contender but there's no entitlement to the playoffs.  There's no Right to be there.

I don't believe it's one bad game either.  It's both Management and a Team in chaos.  The Cleveland Game will shed light on the direction the season takes.

It's not like the 2012 Ravens were dominant. They certainly were not. There were 5 games won during the Regular Season that could have or should have been lost.  Take those 5 games away and the 2012 Ravens finish 5-11. Give them 3 and they finish 8-8 and miss the Playoffs.  In the Playoffs we dodged the Denver and San Fran bullets. The point being we walked the tightrope and got to the other end.  It was not a dominant year.

Essentially what are Front Office did, was cash in their chips with the slight edge that we had from 2012 in favor of their "expertise" in selecting "replacements".  Many Die Hard Raven's fans screamed at their hubris. And as it plays out we'll judge who is correct and who is wrong.

But if we're going to make wholesale changes, why should those changes be restricted to loyal and productive players? Especially when the "change" is giving every appearance of being misguided?

I do believe we'll beat the Steelers out and thats a good thing.

Off whose Board?

If Eric Reid wasn't the Top Safety on the Raven Board, that's consistent with my overall point that we've not evaluated talent accurately lately. Either our in house talent or prospective talent through the draft. And that may be a product of age or advancing age. How else can you explain these current lapses???

I think I would trust our organization's board before yours.
Just be honest, you are a bitter 40whiners fan trolling our forum, aren't you?

When people root for the team to do poorly just to prove they were "right" about something that happened that they disagree with, they are not a true fan.  That's garbage, and we don't need to hear that crap around here.  Anything that the team has done that I initially thought was a mistake, I hope with everything I am that they prove me wrong.  When I want to be right, it is about something that I believe will help the team (like Michael Huff being a good move).  All I want is our team to do well.  I think Matt Elam will help us accomplish this in the long run.  I get more pleasure out of a Ravens win than I do saying, "I told you so."  And I love saying, "I told you so." :dancingbanana:

Yea, the GM widely known as the best in the league, and the team widely known as one of the best, most well run, and best drafting teams is clearly terrible in all the above categories bc an individual who is such a good talent evaluator they spend a good chunk of their spare time on Ravens forums playing fantasy GM said so.

Kiss the rings suckas. If the Ravens are making the wrong moves, I don't want to make the right ones... bc that ends in playoff losses.

You clearly have no idea how cap space works, restructuring contracts or even the concept of picking up better players for cheaper, while letting your own guys walk because of their contract demands. Outside of Huff all the new guys are better than those they replaced.

Seriously... we win the Super Bowl and all the sudden the most negative nancy's ive ever seen start popping up all over the place.

What team would they rather be fans of?  Any of the 31 teams who DIDNT just win a super bowl? My goodness.... am I a bit concerned? Sure. But this team has been in good hands for a long time - they'll figure it out and certainly know better than I do, or anyone else on this board.

Really?  You're going to insert your judgment in place of the FO that just took us to how many straight playoff appearances?  How many AFC Championship games?  Just off a Super Bowl championship?  All because we got younger and lost the first game of the season on the road to one of the best teams in the league?

What, exactly, would make you happy?  Five straight undefeated seasons?  Ten?  Fielding the All-Madden team?

If I were to make a petition for Poes Crows to go back to fifth grade English and learn how to construct a proper sentence, who would sign it?

Thanks.

Elam is a rookie and has to prove that he can perform at NFL level..... But Huff has to prove himself too.  he is new to ravens like elam

So if Elam plays FS, who will play SS?

I think I would put J Smith at SS. He is big, fast, and can really hit. He gets beat on a lot of double moves. I would have Webb and Graham starting CB's
