Why is our man Elam getting shelved in ST?

Give this man all the 1st team reps instead of shelving him on 2nd string and ST! I dont want to see huff & diggs the butterhands missing easy tackles left and right all night. Give elam the reps coaches!

Elam got playing time in the 4th. Huff got benched if i'm not mistaken

Yup, I would start Elam over Huff right now.

I would start Omar over Huff.  I thought Omar showed good enough stuff.

Omar? Why not just start Elam. He is our first round pick and most talented safety.

Omar's a free safety.  Elam is a SS, I just don't think Elam and James I cover the deep field well enough.

Elam played more snaps at FS than SS in the preseason. He can play either position, but it looks like FS is a much bigger concern now.

this dude needs to start. Huff looked lost, digs had a couple good hits then vanished. Elam + Omar as our safties. Elam to lay the wood and omar to ball hawk like hes shown every year in camp and the preseason. there has to be a good reason why the man is nicknamed baby ed reed around here. stop burying my man on the practice squad.

Start Huff at corner

I agree, he made the move to CB in Oakland and, reportedly, played pretty well.

I thought Ihedigbo played well at SS, made that nice tone-setting hit early on. Elam should definitely be in though

Start Huff at corner

I could see this. Huff as a good corner in our system, a trailing type of corner - in the mold of a mash-up of Cary Williams and Samari Rolle.

Can defend the pass while trailing the receiver, but can't tackle straight up.

FS, SS, forget the labels.  Contrary to what most people will say ,the safety positions are mostly interchangeable.

How many years is Huff with us? I am going to be depressed if he doesn't improve.

signed  3 year 6 million dollar contract

Wonder what happens when Christian Thompson comes off suspension

I never got excited when news broke that Huff was coming to Baltimore.. Actually, I was kind of like "Why???"...

And Elam can be great at FS.. He has the speed, quickness and tackling ability.. Just because he is big and hits like Pollard doesn't mean he is a SS.. well I think he can play both. Dude's a PLAYMAKER

My issue with Huff is that he failed to do the one thing that was always promoted about him: tackle. I didn't expect the coverage and instincts of Reed, I just wanted a balanced FS. Yes, Julius and Demaryius are big guys but come the fuck on, man. Getting dragged around like a little girl is ridiculous.
