We were sold a bill of goods this off season as to why we cut guys like Boldin and Pollard. There should have been plenty of money to keep these guys around. I think because both of these guys would challenge a poor coaching decision once in awhile, they are gone now, to the detriment of the team. They should have been kept as they played like Ravens, and helped us win.
We can't can't go back, only forward at this point. You found some nice prospects that you can rebuild with now. I am willing to give some of the retreads we got to replace our former Ravens a short rope, but if you cant catch or tackle, then bye bye - lets get the new guys reps and up to speed asap.
I want this coaching staff to start using the younger and faster guys that aren't afraid of getting hit across the middle to help flacco on 3rd downs - Brown, Smith, Mellette, Furstenburg, etc. at least give them a shot to prove us all wrong. Obviously this was NOT what you wanted to do initially.
Old and slow, with no hands has got to go. Dickson can go back to blocking TE, Clark can help coach these guys up, and Stokely can be a once in awhile option.
On Defense, Matt Elam and Arthur Brown need to be on the field. Its time to move forward, not backwards, suck it up, I would rather see growing pains with our draft picks, then retreads that don't care to tackle.
