Surprising that no one is talking about this, unless I missed it, but Gradkowski calling the protections tonight was pretty bad. I don't think he recognized a single A gap pressure all night and it was absolutely blowing Flacco up. When Rice is up your butt to pick up blitzers you have some issues. Not once did he figure it out on his own and it looked to me that Flacco wasn't expecting him to struggle that much.

I thought the protection was fine in the 1st half. The announcers were even raving about it. Obviously it got worse once Oher got hurt but the real problem was we got so far behind. The defense could let it rip knowing we would throw.

 

If there is any criticism it would be the lack of a running game. He's the only difference on the line from a group that ran the ball really well in the playoffs last year.

guards and center couldnt punch a hole for our RBs.   It was awful.

I saw him make a nice block for Rice right after they highlighted him. That's all I can remember from him
