I was heart broken when we lost Boldin.
This is salt in the wound.

150 yards, 1 TD so far in 49ers debut.

Now we have stokley and dickson for the slot position  WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i was watching that 49ers game too, and boldin was just slaughtering the packers. the ravens could of extended his contract and spread the money out, the guy was/is a beast for us, i know the 49ers r thanking the ravens for boldin.

Boldin playing like the BEAST he is, all I want to do is thank OZZIE $ company for letting him go. BIG MISTAKE!

That isn't saying much since Green Bay's defense is horrible. Like someone in another thread said, wait til next week when the 49ers travel to Seattle where Sherman will be covering him. Then we'll see how good he truly is over in San Fran playing against a good defense.

The only way the Ravens will be able to cure my anxieties, after watching that 49ers game, is to utterly destroy the Browns. We traded Boldin away to get this defense and because we trusted our talent on offense. Both better pitch a perfect game against Cleveland next week.

The Ravens have a lot of holes......and the Browns have a team to exploit them.

It's gonna be an interesting game.

If the Browns win, you'll have to admit the changes were

Ryan Tannehill had a pretty nice game against the Browns.

Hopefully we can catch the ball, execute, and really demonstrate our excellence.

We need to watch out for Jordan Cameron. That guy had a beastly game and with the way we struggled against Thomas, I fear for our safeties covering Cameron.

I do too. Huff better step up. He's supposed to be the guy shutting out tight ends. Elam is too small and Dig is too slow. Huff better get back to form.

Jordan Cameron is very big and athletic. Good focus. Still, the Dolphins made rather short work of the Browns. They picked off Weeden a lot and shut down TRich. I hope we prepare to do the same.

Not gonna lie, that Broncos game and Anquan's recent success with the 49ers made me freak out a little. It doesn't really make our FO, coaching staff and roster look good and I usually take great pride as a Ravens fan in how well run the Ravens are.

I really hope, the whole team shows up and we dominate the Browns up and down the field. I know, that usually games against the Browns are pretty close, but it really would calm me down. :)

I think we will be fine game planning to stop Cameron. The Browns don't have nearly as many weapons at WR as Denver and oh yeah...Weeden is not Manning. Our run defense is very stout, so stop Trent and Cameron and this game is a wrap.

Obviously we should never overlook anyone, and given what happened in Denver I doubt we will, but after watching some highlights of Dolphins @ Browns, I think we'll be okay. Weeden did not look good, and I think we can handle the weapons they have if our defense comes ready to play. Being at home will really give the new Ravens that extra something to fight for, there's nothing quite like the Bank. Their defense is decent, but I think Joe has a chip on his shoulder as well, and hopefully our guys won't have as many drops. Who knows, we may even have a new receiver or TE.

I've felt bummed today as well being down from the loss and watching Q explode. But not because I think FO screwed up, just because I wish we could have kept him. It's the ways of the cap world. We filled a lot of holes in the D with quality players(I think soon everyone will be praising D. Smith).  But dag I wish Q were still a Raven.

PS - I wouldn't want to be wearing a brownies jersey at The Bank next Sunday. It could get ugly.

Don't do that. Someone will end up taking you seriously.

I'm officially over the Boldin thing. Yes, everyone can relaxe now, because I am okay with it. :D Seriously, this last couple of days we whined more than the 49ers forum. I don't want us to turn into this:

I always thought Jim was a sore loser, but after the game against the Packers I now know, that JIm can't even win with dignity.

As much as you want to disregard Boldin, if you actually saw the game you would know he was routinely double/triple teamed in the middle. He caught bunch of traffic throws on small windows. Green bay knew Boldin was the #1 target comming imto the game, and they couldnt stop him. Give the man some props. Our FO screwed up no matter how you want to spin it. He wouldve helped Flacco look good just like he has @ playoff games.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm excited about our upcoming home opener as defending champions. Would it be possble to talk about the upcoming game instead of games that have already happened?

Do you think we will unveil a new Super Bowl Champions banner on the Ring of Honor?

Speaking of surprises, i thought last weeks kickff event was awesome. The inner harbour looked great, and there were alot of ravens commercial and a little trolling from ray lewis(count down to #1 lol)

I see a few surprises comming our way. Steve loves his football team, and he doesnt shy away from being a spender. I see us showcasing our new 60m innovation, maybe use the new digi screen to better use, and few special guest appearnaces aside from Ray Lewis. So yeah...good things comming.

Agreed, lol. People always want to talk bad about former players to justify us not having them anymore but sometimes we lose good players, all of them don't suck that leaves.

You really need to look at the big picture. It will help you alot in life. Regardless of what boldin or carry Williams or pollard or reed do in one game or even four games or even one whole season these are the type of moves that need to be made for long term success. This team will contend in the playoffs once again this year and all years for the forseeAble future (barring a flacco injury). Teams like the ravens and patriots stay in contention every year because they make the tough unpopular decisions. They had plenty of struggles as well yesterday but I guarantee both teams will be there playing top notch ball at the end of the year when it matters.
Also don't forget this is the nfl. It is just a matter of time before Denver, San Fran and Seattle all get blown out by someone as well. Happens every single year.

Ill be the first to say i miss Q and love him as a player, to me he was like the Ray Lewis of offense, just mean and physical.  But i can honestly say i dont think our FO screwed up, they chose a couple players of one, we were able to bring in the guys we did on defense because of that trade.  Also, the FO expected Pitta to take over for Q, clearly no one thought Pitta would be out for the year.  Of course now we really need Q because we have no one else, but if we kept him our defense would be very thin, now we have good depth.  More good players is always more valuable than one guy.

Our defense actually didn't look that bad against Denver, until they were on the field for the entire 3rd quarter. We aren't nearly as bad as the score looked, Torrey had a nice game and I have a feeling that Dallas Clark will get things worked out.

Now, to the Browns. My prediction is a 28-9 Ravens victory..and we can finally get this season rolling

I agree I was surprised that Weeden is still making very poor decisions with the ball and he looked worse to me playing the dolphins then he did last year .

Really Dickson is the guy who needs to step up.  Missing training camp really hurt him.

I don't really feel the same way about Elam in regards to his height with covering TEs.  Ya he's going to be giving up half a foot to most TEs but I feel his coverage ability, having played the nickel at Florida.  Only a jump ball is going to beat Elam and you don't really throw a jump ball anywhere outside the endzone.  I  think Elam has the physicality and coverage ability to match up with TEs quite well.  Alot better than Huff at least.
