Week Two - Browns @ Ravens

271 posts in this topic

I would not want to be the Browns going onto a field full of pissed off players.

that's sounds good M6, however, i won't believe that UNTIL i see it on the field.  the Browns maybe thinking this is a great time to catch the Ravens.  it works both ways! i'm not writing us off but we know that the Ravens tend to play down to the level of lower opponents.  hopefully, this national humiliation woke our guys up and they begin to ball!

Things in our favor next week

 1. Home

 2, Sea level

 3. Weather is forecast to be a nice 80 degrees with no rain

 4. Our players are proud. They will build on the positives and correct the negatives

 5. We won't be facing Payton at home with a brand new defense.

 6. We have 10 days to work with

We will prevail. GO RAVENS!!

Greg Little, Jordan Cameron, and Davone Bess sound so much better than D. Thomas, Wes Welker, Eric Decker, and Julius Thomas.

Don't sleep on the Browns. The defense we have an idea of what to expect, they're no bums. The offense could catch us off guardoso they need to be cautious of going into this game like the Browns will bow down. Don't forget they played us close last year without the improvements. Norv is a better OC than head coach and the rest of their staff is pretty good as well. I wonder how much more Brown wil be involved in this weeks game plan. I see us going in with more wideouts this game cause our tes are unreliable and the Browns are a hard hitting defense.

Good to hear. That would strengthen the Dline. Awesome. Now we only need Oher and Jacoby to be healthy and I'll feel much better about next week already.

Who knows what the heck he was dealing with, but it will be nice to bolster the DL rotation.  That might have helped the winded pass rush last night.

[twitter]JasonLaCanfora[/twitter] The medical issue for Ravens DL Arthur Jones was a viral infection that produced fluid near his heart. Scary, but something he will overcome. Jones is week to week at this point. The illness depleted his immune system but he is well on the road to full recovery.

What a weird thing, glad he's ok though.  I wonder if he has MRSA like those Bucs did, since we did play them.

Well, MRSA is a bacteria and not a virus, unless it's being incorrectly reported. I'm also not sure how MRSA would cause pericarditis in this instance. Seems a bit far-fetched unless you're joking, lol. It could've just been pneumonia. That's one of the most common incidences, from what I've personally seen.

Touche Mr. Fancy Science Man.  I thought more along the lines of we played the Bucs, maybe he got it there and skipped right past the virus/bacteria thought.

I thought he may have had a different kind of virus, and now I feel bad for thinking it. Anyway, glad he's okay.

I expect to see some very motivated and ticked off Ravens taking the field at M&T a week on Sunday. I want to see our guys looking mean, hitting hard and showing a steely determination to put right the wrongs of last night.

I don't want to bring anyone down, I'm just curious.  Is anyone else just....not excited for this game?  I mean it's the Browns.  I don't want the Ravens to lose but I mean to come from a butt whooping like the Denver game to the Browns?  If we whip them, so what?  IT'S THE BROWNS!  All it means is that as usual the Browns are horrible and we always beat them.  I dunno.  Probably just the blues.

Hell no. I'm excited about it!

It's the new season. Week 2. Our home opener. Playing a divisional rival who thinks they're ready to step up and compete at our level. An opportunity to put them in their place and to silence all the talking heads in the media who already have us written off and heading for a season of futility.

Let's do it! Go Ravens!!

I know, that we want to see the Ravens win every time, but all of this change and drama is kind of exciting to me. ^^ Can't wait to see the game against the Browns.

I think we can bounce back vs the Browns. I'm not overlooking them by any means, I just think we'll respond well from Thursday. How we respond these next several days and how we perform next Sunday will say a lot about this team. We still have some moves to be made now that Jacoby is out for a few weeks, so we'll see how that goes. I'd love for us to beat them down, but I'm expecting a tough, close game.

I kinda like football, especially when my team plays. I'm pretty excited about every game except for the end of the year games in which they rest the starters. And we all know that the Ravens rarely like to make things easy on themselves so I'm basically pretty invested in every game.

Also, even though it's just the Browns there is still a part of me that is very disquieted by what I saw on Thursday. I want the reassurance that this game can give me.

I could easily see us losing this game.

I think we'll be fired up and ready to endure all 4th quarter. Our players (if they got the brains), need to know last night's performance isnt going to cut it for Ravens football.

that's what i'm saying!  our guys better not sleep on them cause they play the Ravens tough all the time!  they already dropped the steelers a game last season and you know they would love to come into M&T and hand the Ravens their second loss while they (Ravens) are still trying to figure out what type of team their gonna be this season.

I'm always excited. I get excited for preseason. I always like to see those guys perform. I just love football.

The Browns game is actually more important than the Denver game. Not just because it's a divisional game but the second game and the Ravens lost game one. Maybe you still say, so what. OK! Maybe you'll get to see Bobby Rainey play against his old team since he is the Brown's #2 RB behind Richardson. Still, so what? Well, You will see more of Marlon Brown, Flacco, Dumervil, and Suggs.

If that doesn't do anything for you then perhaps a nap will do the trick, lol. If you've been thinking a lot about Dickson and Clark then I understand.

It's the Browns. We'll be fine. If it was the Patriots, I'd be hesitant at this point. But the Browns, at home, we'll be just fine.

The Browns have a better defense than the Broncos. Plus their offense looked fluid in the preseason.
Not saying that they are a playoff team but they are a team that should be respected.
