Official melt, cut, comment on Ravens at Broncos

OMG... Really ????? omg again........you are saying this about one of the BEST GM's in the game of football, WOW your thought process is the most ignorant, naïve, uneducated, arrogant, pathetic rookie fan remarks I have every read. Ozzie is only playing the cards he dealt himself because of his outstanding knowledge and success in the game of football. EVERY GM that has to give his QB that amount of money especially after a surpebowl win is handicapped more than EVERY other GM.........Son, its simply what happens on every team. There is only sooo much money to dole out and HARD decisions have to be made. I KNOW...I watched it 6 times. Ozzie has done an amazing job this off season....period. Your defense will be fine....BTW your Defense was not rated high last year with aging players......wow . Relative to your receivers and tight ends , well ...one of your own guys did that one.......are you blaming Ozzie on this one...hell THAT injury has major consequences and rippling affects for Flacco. It takes 11 men doing their job flawlessly for a QB to look good. Most of the offensive highlights the next day are because 9/11 guys did their job great so that the 2 guys on the highlight reel can look great. Flacco did not have this luxury on Thursday night. In closing, you should be demoted to the practice squad for the next 4 games and have to wear Raiders/Jets gear until you can come across as a semi-intelligent fan

Great Post.

Its Cams fault.

Clearly it was all Flacco's fault. If he's only thrown passes away from the receivers' hands they would have caught them more easily.

After watching the Broncos game, this seemed like our biggest holes.  I don't blame much on the Defense.  Most of those Touchdowns happened because of turnovers close to the endzone, and desperation near the end to make plays and just get a stop.  We were willing to give up a big play for the chance of stopping them on 3rd down near the end of the game.

However, our Offense needs help.  Jacoby Jones looked great.  I was the first one to say how he wasn't offering much as a receiver but he did a lot that game.  He looked very solid.  Fortunately, Marlon Brown didn't miss a beat coming in to play that outside position.

Now our issue is in the slot.  The position where Boldin would make play after play.  Stokley has looked bad.  Dropping passes, not getting open.  The guy is 37 and shouldn't be counted on as our 3rd best receiver.  I can't wait for Thompson to return.  I think he will be a big help in the slot.

Tight End is a similar deal.  Dickson is just horrible.  4 drops and 1 catch.  Clark is ok, but he had crucial drops.   I put part of the blame on Flacco's INT on him.  He couldn't get separation causing Flacco to need to throw it close to the defender.  With Pitta, that is a complete pass for a first down.  I don't think it would be a bad decision to call up Furstenburg.  It looks like we need to grind this out for our injured guys to return, but looking to free agency for a band-aid wouldn't be a bad idea.

Not trying to be rude here, but have you read any of the other threads?  There must be 10 that are discussing this topic.

"Band-aids" are what Stokley and Clark were supposed to be.

And it shouldn't have come to that.   Watching the 49'ers/Packers game today just infuriated me.

Your not alone. Boldin caught every pass thrown to him except , one that I saw. So annoying.

You know, reading these comments around the board would make ya think we were 0-8 and the season was over. We've lost one game. Repeat: we have played one, single game. Just a reminder.

Add to that we had the most amazing gift today! The rest of our division lost too!

We are all tied up and no worse off for our loss at the end of the day.

What more could you ask for after a loss?

I mean, people are jumping off a cliff, criticizing the FO, and clamoring for coaches to be fired after one game. We don't even know how the team is going to rebound after this. We could be A-okay after this.

My question is who would these people have replace them once they're fired.

It scares me to think about how fast Ozzie would get swooped up by another team, even if it meant firing their GM midway through the season.

Not only would he get swooped quickly by another team, but that team would break the bank to sign him.

Did someone actually say this?

Someone also said Ozzie should take a pay cut or take a walk.

Really.

I don't see why Furstenburg wasn't kept up...our dearth of reliable pass catchers would seem to preclude his addition to the active roster. He's a fairly athletic and effective pass catcher from what we saw in preseason, give him a shot.
