Safety Jarius Byrd wants to be traded - should we get him?

There's still quite a few decent quality FA Safeties.

 

Rhodes would be nice, but there's other pretty solid guys around, such as Atari Bigby, Quintin Mikell, Sherrod Martin, Corey Lynch, Jordan Babineaux, Madieu Williams and Gerald Sensabaugh.

 

Can't hurt to bring a few in for a try out.

Rhodes is another SS type with limitations in coverage.  I said it last night somewhere but it makes more sense to play Elam and Ihedigbo together and crack skulls if we're going to give up 49 with Huff flailing his gitch out there like a handkerchief.  At least Elam and Ihedigbo will knock some fools out while giving up 49 and then maybe we'll get the other team to where the Patriots were last year in the AFCCG when they saw Ridley unconscious.  They didn't want any after that.

o really. well the best idea would be to get rid of suggs and ngata next year. replace them with trade or through draft and then sign or trade some other teams weapons. to be honest ngata hasnt taken that extra step since his new contract.

He was pretty dominating inside last night.  He's been hurt the last two years and last year played out of position to help the rush D protect Ray because the rest of the line sucked.  Ngata when healthy is a top 3 DT in the league.

One thing's for sure after watching Huff in the preseason and last night he's not the safety that should be on the backend.
