Why Are the Ravens Getting Political?

So the Ravens have signed on to help push Obamacare here in Maryland.....WHY????

 

I know that many here support Obamacare....but many do not.  It is a hugely divisive issue and I am quite shocked and offended that the Ravens have taken this step.  I would feel the same way if they jumped on board to support a conservative position as well.  Point is that they should not be involved in this or any other political cause....it is a terrible decision and one that they should change immediately.

And, before anyone gets all upset over this, please note that the Ravens are just trying to help educate people about their options under ObamaCare. They aren't "supporting" it.

Despite how the media will blow this up, here's the official statement:

Maryland's health department said 71 percent of uninsured people in the state watched, attended or listened to a Ravens game in the past year.

"The partnership will provide Maryland Health Connection with the opportunity to reach and engage fans while making them aware of the new opportunity they have for health coverage beginning this fall through the health insurance marketplace," the state's health department said in a statement.
