Active Roster Depth

14 posts in this topic

We need some tight ends another RB and some corner backs and depth along the o line can we possibly bring in Michael turner for him to try out can we all set our problems aside permanently to help each other excel in doing the one thing that brings us all together and that's for our Baltimore Ravens now let's think of players we can bring in for depth and versatility

Nice post.  It would be boring if we agreed on everything, all the time.

We may need more LB's that can play special teams.  That is very important.

Not as worried about CB depth because a couple of our safeties can play CB if needed. Our O-line depth is a worry to me. That could really use some more depth. Maybe we can find someone that is adept as both the O-line and ST. I know, I am dreaming.

I was concerned at first but I think they could stay with two RBs unless someone gets hurt. Then they can call up Allen, Berry or Clark. They can also bring up the RB from the PS. It's a gamble but they may take it. They've done this with the QB position for a few years now.

I was really hoping for Berry to make the team... aside from Rainy on special yes Berry was the most productive back we had in the preseason... I get it that he played against the 2 maybe 3 but he also ran behind the 2 maybe 3 o lineman.

Rainey was my first choice to make the team followed by Allen then Berry very close behind (I meant Carter not Clark in the previous post). I understand and agree on the 2nd-3rd OL which sometimes isn't taken into account.

I just checked and Rainey is listed as the number 2 RB behind Trent Richardson on Cleveland's Depth Chart which if it sticks means we will see him in action.

Oh wow. That's pretty serious. Glad he's going to get a shot. I liked Rainey and Berry as RBs but neither could etch a spot in ST. Allen was all ST and no RB but Juice does what he does.

Frankly I think we have good depth at RB with Juice as #3. How many carries did Allen have last year anyway? As many as Leach? I have no idea really but whatever the logic Ozzie has a plan at RB if someone goes down.

I'm not overly concerned but if I had to give a name, dare I say it, I'd say Dwyer. He has power, burst and quick moves. I'm very surprised he was cut. An ex-Steeler yes but experienced. Can he play ST?

Rice and Pierce is our one-two punch, Richardson and Rainey will become Cleveland's. Unless Ozzie finds a RB with very exceptional ST qualities that he cannot pass on, it looks like the Ravens will go with the RBs they have.

As for Dwyer, he was beat out by Isaac Redman, Le'Veon Bell, and Felix Jones. I am not sure he offers anything the Ravens need that Juice, Leech, Rice or Pierce doesn't already have, but he is a decent RB that may get chosen as a back-up for another team.
