I think you have to look down the road a little bit. I haven't looked at all the matchups yet but Denver seems mist appealing on paper.

Denver & Seattle seem to be the hot picks this week.

Denver will be heavily favored in many games this season, including a bunch that aren't against a division rival. Seattle will never have a surer win than the Jags at home. Both are safe picks, it seems, though, as they look to be many times each this season.

Any home game for Seattle is basically a lock, which is why I would like to keep them in my back pocket.

Yeah, I was saying to someone else that the first two weeks have done a ton of damage to the rest of my league.  There are only a few of us left, so saving teams really isn't a priority anymore.

I haven't really looked into the schedule for next week, yet, but I'm no longer concerned with saving teams in my league.  The first two weeks were unkind, and now there's only 3 left.  Amazing.

That is amazing.  So far only one person has gone out on our league but that was because they didn't make their pick the first week.

Imagine having to try to predict a CLE, OAK or JAC win at the end of the season! :P

There are only 17 weeks.  I'm pretty confident those will be 3 of the minimum 15 teams I never use.  Most likely it won't even go past Week 12 or 13 (maybe less in my league this year).  15 is the longest I've ever seen.

Actually, I am probably taking SF this week. Keep Denver for a rainy day.

There are a lot of viable options this week.  It seems the opposite of the first two weeks.

Maybe even Minnesota now..

Someone mentioned them earlier.  I checked on Yahoo!, and they are the third most popular pick on their leagues.

I'm not trying to pick on you, but there aren't many people posting in this thread, and your conversation this week illustrates exactly what I've been talking about.  There was a sure thing this week (possibly two if you count Denver).  Don't over-think it or try to get cute.  Saving teams means nothing when you aren't even in it anymore.  Take the sure thing and survive while others do what you've been hinting at doing and get eliminated.

Yep.  Everytime I've saved teams, I've gotten burned.  I take whatever is the sure bet (with the teams I have left) I'd rather make the tough decisions down the road when I'm still alive.

Went with Seattle and I am happy.  I bet a lot of people got knocked out by SF & Minny this week.

Every single player left in my league took Seattle.  Wash week.

Yeah, should have gone with Denver. That was my original pick but I got cute and changed to SF. Did not see that coming.

I'm guessing BAL will be a hot pick against the hapless Bills.  IND should be a lock against JAC.  Or if you want to be cute, you could pick WAS over OAK.

Not many people did.  That probably was the third game down my list.

IDK.  Baltimore has had its struggles going away after big wins.  When I use Baltimore, it will probably be at home.

The only 3-0 team at home against an 0-3 is KC, but somehow I'm not comfortable picking against the Giants.  They shouldn't be winless this long.  Denver at home against Philly is a solid pick.  I even think picking the Steelers this week is a decent gamble.  When else would you ever pick them than against the hapless Vikings?  In London, though, makes me more nervous because it's a wildcard.

I would never want to pick a road team. That's playing with fire. Some may not like this pick but ill take the saints at home on Monday night. Doesn't get much more of a lock this week.

I feel pretty good about Denver at home for Philly.

Man, Week 5 is really tough.  I might have to wait this one out until the last minute to think about it.  SF or Atl are the only two that jumped out a bit, but not by much.

I used the Rams Week 1.  Who'd of thought that would be the team to save for the future?

I have the rams with confidence. I still believe this is an at least 8-8 to 9-7 type of team. Fisher will get them right. This is not the week the jags get their win with a newly reshuffled line. In addition to their other woes.

I'm going Rams as well since I already used Atlanta.  An embarrassing loss and a good defense at home.  Plus the Jags have shifted around their tackles making their line worse.

This is a tough week. I'm down to three other competitors. I'm thinking Green Bay at home against Cleveland. I don't think weeden is going to lead this team to a win in Lambau.

Other choices Atlanta at home vs Tampa. But I really don't trust that team. I considered Tennessee at home with San Fran comming across country. But too bold to rely on Fitzpatrick vs that d right now.

Green Bay is your best option from that lot.
