Bronco Woes? Or are they really?

I think an underrated aspect of our defense versus Manning is Daryl Smith. He's had 8 seasons of facing Manning twice a year. A lot of familiarity there and I think that will help tremendously in getting our play calls correct.

Don't forget Caldwell lol

Agree that keeping Manning off the field will be an asset to winning the game. But, Manning's weak spot has always been to disrupt his timing. Put more pressure on him in pass rushing and block receivers at the line to slow them up just a second or two. Do those things and Manning will have a bad day. And as Manning goes so does his team. We will have to work to win this game. I have all the confidence that they can do it. Just get our communication going and we will be fine. I expect the first couple of possessions to not be great, but then we will find our rhythm and be very good after that. Go Ravens - Let's win!!

I think we have a better chance of doing that tomorrow than we did in the playoffs, by far.  But ofcourse in the playoffs we had frozen temps helping us battle Manning as well.

Their receiving options should really help Manning. If he has time to throw he can pick on Jimmy down the field.  If he feels pressured, Welker and Thomas will make an impact.  Our DL must create havoc on their own tomorrow if we want to win.  .

I think out defense will give up several big plays to manning. While this team is faster and younger and will be better than last years unit they have not worked together enough to not have some mistakes. Particularly in the secondary. While manning will be harassed all day and we should be able to create some short fields for the offense he will still make several manning plays. We will feel the loss of reed and Lewis more in this game than any other the entire year.

We must avoid trying to get greedy with the deep shots early on. Denver is going to take that away and we need to continue to convert 3rd downs and move the chains with short and intermediate passes. Get ray rice and Torrey smith in space where they can make the big plays themselves. This is where the Denver defense is most vulnerable this time around.

from a non bias standpoint one could argue that ihedibo is a below aveage saftey , jimmy smith a bust and who is josh bynes? as for the offense bronco fans could say its torrey smith and some udfa and some total has beens.

i like to keep it real. im a bit oncerned about this game. i truley feel we could do with an upgrade at wr or cb.

Heck, if it means us winning against them in the playoffs (if we face each other there), then I'd be ok with losing this one. I don't expect too much out of the team tonight, to be honest. We'll be close, but our D still needs experience with working with each other, and our receivers need to step up, which it will in time if Brown keeps progressing. I think our early season will be a struggle, but that's ok. You never want to play your best football in the early parts of the year. You always want to catch fire near the playoffs, or in our case last year, IN the playoffs. That makes any team hard to beat when they are on a hot streak.

Exactly. Look for huge doses of RR, Pierce and Stokley. May not satisfy some, but at this point I don't think we're ready for a shootout.

..............AND when successful, should open up the secondary for the requisite bomb to Torrey/JJ!!!
