Ravens MB Pick 'Em League - All Are Welcomed!

729 posts in this topic

I see a few match ups that could go either way, imo.

MIA @ IND

JAC @ OAK

DAL @ KC

You could throw SEA/SF in there, but I think SF wins that one, no doubt. I'm giving KC a chance against Dallas.

No way SEA loses at home.  OAK actually did well against IND.  They should massacre JAC.  KC's D should keep them in it.

Oakland did do well against Indy, I just have to believe that Oakland is Oakland and Jacksonville is Jacksonville. But the more I think about it, the more I can see Jacksonville losing. lol

I'm not sure about the Seattle game. I really dislike 9ers and Co. but I could see them pulling out of Sea with a win.

Week 1 Recap:

Cream of the Crop

  1. beanfigger - If you only picked Houston, you could be sitting at top w/ 13
  2. H8R - Always the bridesmaid, never the bride
  3. Ravens All The Way - Traitor
  4. 1/28/01 - Picking Ravens to score the most points, hey its the thought that counts
  5. ravens___ - Sneaking into 5th over Gabe (tied) who actually completed his tiebreakers which you didn't.

Bottom of the Barrel -

  1. The Dizz - Would help to make picks, but there is still time before you become a 'drop out'
  2. jokeraven - Was able to pick the Monday night games, But this will be a dropped week
  3. Arnie uk - Tied with five others, just was dead wrong on the tie breakers
  4. TheBlackDog - Did better on the tiebreakers than Arnie
  5. Miami Hurricane - You almost got that Carolina pick over Seattle right.

Yeah, the Chargers pick really does tick me off now.  They were close, and had they held on I would have separated myself from the pack with a solid 13.  I doubt I get any more double digit weeks for a while, so at least I got one week.

13 this week... Missed the Bengals-Steelers tie-breaker by 3 points. I had Bengals 17 - Steelers 10... Good week ;)

13 is impressive.  Even more impressive that multiple people achieved that score in the same week.  This is a smart group of football fans here.

Week 2 Recap:

FYI, the total score is only one week.  So which ever was your best week out of the two weeks so far, that's your score (since the lowest week is dropped).

Traitors:  None

Dropouts (missed multiple weeks, won't be included in Bottom of the Barrel ranks):  None

Cream of the Crop:

  1. runamuk - 13 games is the most games right so far, runamuk's tie-breakers were all pretty close which puts him at the top.
  2. Elmo - After getting only 8 games right the first week, he comes storming back with 13 the next.
  3. Gabe's picks - Going 11 then 13 will pay off down the road, he'll have that drop week in his back pocket.
  4. ravens____ - See Gabe
  5. Divinations of T3hRaven - 1 of 8 teams with 12 correct picks, but the only one to sneak into the top 5.

Bottom of the Barrel:

  1. GRENDELWULF21 - Helps to make picks especially with only 8 picks right in week 1.  There is still time to right this ship.
  2. TheBlackDog - Despite making all his picks in week 1 & 2, he just can't seem to get them right posting a 8 & 6.
  3. Miami Hurricane - Like Washington stood a chance against an angry GB team. Only team to bet against GB.
  4. JO_75 - Consistent.  9 picks right in both week 1 and week 2.  Only team to bet against the Patriots, it didn't pay off.

This is going to be a rather tough week to pick, not that we haven't had a cornucopia of tight games thus far this season. I did sneak into the top 5 though. /flex

Not often do I pick from the same game for my tiebreaker in terms of who scores the most points and who scores the fewest, but this week seems to be a rare exception.

Chiefs > Eagles anyone?

I feel like that will be a popular pick judging from how everyone has been talking about that game in other threads.

Yeah, I don't see one or two people picking the Chiefs. If anything, it'll be split.
