Ravens MB Pick 'Em League - All Are Welcomed!

I think this week is really tough. I see a lot of potential upsets.

Yep thinking about going against the grain and picking Arizona to stun the Seahawks, but something tells me I should learn my lesson from when I picked the Saints to go into Seattle and win.

I'm also leaning toward the Giants over the Lions. Lions seem to beat themselves every week and they may sleep on the Giants just because of their record.

I'm not picking against the Seahawks at home.  That's a dangerous bet.

St Louis-TB and Miami-Buffalo are the tough picks for me.  I do have to monitor Rodgers' status though.

Don't like my Cleveland pick but the Jets have been really bad.

It be something if Houston pulls off the upset against Denver and everyone loses that game lol.

Why did I pick the Bucs when the Rams have played well the past few weeks?  Ugh I dunno what I was thinking but I'm collapsing late in the season.

Horus has built himself a nice little cushion going into the final regular season week.  Been on fire the second half of the season.

I really thought the Bears would win since they had something to play for and the Eagles didn't.  Boy was I wrong.

This has been another rough week for me, but I do have a chance to get two hero picks (correct picks that no one else got) this week.  Keep it up Atlanta.

I should trust my gut more. I went with Seattle because I thought if Brees couldn't go there and win, how could Palmer do it.

This week is going to be interesting picks wise.

so then I need 13 correct picks to win this... interesting... hmmm

Don't forget about playoffs.  This goes all the way to the Bowl.

It's a shame this game didn't end in the regular season. After horus' bad week I snuck back to #1.

15-1 this week.

Nice pick w/ the Jets. That's the only one we differed on. Won't lie, but picking the Bengals was very tempting this week. But I'm no poe.

find it strange that it shows you in first when I have more dropped picks, thus more correct picks over the season...

Rank                Total  Dropped   W-L

1 PuRock          161       6       161-81

2 FC Horus 13  161       7       161-81

3 Gabe's picks  160       6       160-82

I sort of agree with your point, that the dropped week could be a better tie-breaker.  But that's not how Yahoo does their tie-breaking procedures.  First  it goes W-L, then it goes by the weekly tiebreakers.

I'm guessing its because not all weeks are created equal (because of bye weeks). Some weeks have 16 games, others 13.  So the amount of drops is relative.

In our case, it wouldn't matter because we both dropped a 14 game week (So yes, technically you do have an additional pick correct over me).  Let's say instead of 7, you only had 3 drops that week.  Your record would still be 161-81, and Yahoo's tiebreaker would still be their weekly tiebreaker.  I'm not sure how Yahoo's weekly tie-breakers work.  Do they tally them up over the life of the season, or do they start fresh every week?  I'm not sure.

Picking the first round is hard, some strong wild card teams this year.  I remember last year being easier.

I feel confident in KC over Indy, but the other ones are all 50/50 IMO.  I need to be right, I tried to pull ahead, made too many risky picks, and plummeted in the standings.
