Updated: Ray Lewis Declines Invitation to attend Broncos Game

44 posts in this topic

I hear both sides and understand both... I don't think it really matters either way.

I think the vets would be happy to see him, and the new guys glad to meet him. I could only see it being an issue if he came and tried to insert influence on the game. If he delivers a speech cool. If he shows up and shakes hands/ reminisces no biggy.

Bc after the pep talk they'll get out on the field and Flacco will pull in the offense and get them ready, Suggs with the defense.

The only issue I'd have is if Ray was on the sideline and trying to talk to guys in between plays about what should have/shouldn't have been done. That's undermining the coaching staff and leaders.

*Slaps self again*  Why can't I stay away from the comments section?  Why?!?!?!

To remind yourself that people are animals?

Good for him. A statue is already going to be built in his honor at M&T and he will also go into the Ring of Honor. Constant petitions to get him to come to games are just redundant in my opinion.

He built a legacy. Now its time for the remaining Ravens to continue to carry that legacy forward on their own as a collective unit

Haha, I tend to agree. While the comments are really bad for diehard fans such as myself, they are downright funny because of the lack of logic and the bountiful harvest of animals making comments on a website.

I never thought he would be there tonight.  That said, I hope he shows up in NY in February to give his home boys a push!

Now we can stop guessing. Ray has declined the invitation to come to the game. As he is committed to his family, like he said he would.

first, i'm glad that Ray decided not to go to the game.  not because he would be a distraction or that it means that he can't allow the Ravens to move on without him but that it simply means that he is able to move on after 17 years of faithful dedication and service to the Ravens.

second, all of the hate that Ray gets (from what I read in the link) even after leaving the game is amazing!

third, a poster called the Ravens the "stolen" Browns but said nothing about the Indianapolis colts really being the Baltimore colts or the ST. Louis Rams really being the L.A. Rams. wow!  the Ravens hate is in full swing and it is just game one of the season.  lol!
