Ravens claim LB Robert James from Falcons

The #Ravens claimed veteran linebacker Robert James off waivers from Atlanta. He's a former fifth-round pick of the 2008 draft.

 

 

Any info?  LB doesn't seem necessary.

The Ravens have lost a lot in ST play and so others are now playing larger roles on offense orr defense. So ST help is needed.

Yeah I can't complain.  The whole LB thing threw me off, but he's pretty much Ayanbadejo.  A guy who has a paper position that doesn't match his actual position.

One thing it could mean is releasing Trawick or a young STs guy. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

If we got rid of LQ to get this guy, it was pretty dumb imo. 

 

Lq was our fastest gunner left after we got rid of D.Reed.

Having both seems kind of contradictory at this point, especially since Ihedigbo and Elam can both play ST if need be.  I'm sure there's a CB out there somewhere than can do the same as Trawick or Levine on ST.  ST guys also aren't incredibly difficult to find, as evident by this James claim.

I like the move. I would've liked us to sign UDFA Paul Worrilow as well. The guy has been a beast for the Falcons this preseason. I feel that's a move we should've done. Perhaps we did and we weren't successful.

Wouldn't say we gave up much in LaQuan.  This was basically a swap to get a thumper instead of a gunner.  I guess they thought we were deeper on the outside speedy guys.
