Kenny Britt Rumor

Wasn't it Brandon that wanted Moore.

I think it was Brandon that wanted everyone and anybody that's not on our roster already.

I agree with you on Furst.

Come on. Stop being so negative. As a fan, there is no reason to believe the Broncos should beat us with their weak offensive line and both their best passrushers gone.

I don't think Denver will have great success running. And I don't think their pass rush will be a major factor.  The game will hinge on Manning finding open receivers he has rapport with and Flacco trying to establish rapport with new and young receivers.  A Big Raven Pass Rush could alter what I envison playing out. As could a dominate Raven Running Attack.  But in the end, I believe the Broncos will win by 7 to 10 points.  Both Teams have issues to overcome. Being a Realist, isn't being Negative.  But do I believe the Ravens will Repeat?....Most Certainly Not.....However, at 30-1 to win the Championship, I believe the Raven's are twice as good as the Steelers who are listed at 20-1 to win it.

I'm sorry, but where I come from, if you are a fan of the Ravens, (a winning team with talented players and a fantastic staff) you always believe you are going to win. Otherwise what is the point of even being a fan if you decide to take the "realistic" approach and say that your own team can't win. Come on! Where is the enthusiasm!? This is RAVENS FOOTBALL!!

The Ravens will be a better Team near the end of the year, than in the beginning.

I'm a realist too and I say all hope of denver winning this game went out the window when Dumervil came to us,Von Miller got suspended and Champ Bailey went down. That defense is WEAK!

Agreed, i think Clark over Furstenburg was because of experience alone.

If you understand that he was kept because of experience, how does it not make sense? Usually something that doesn't make sense doesn't have a logical explanation. Clark is more experienced and does a better job of reading defenses to make himself available on 3rd downs. Matt has more long term potential but his still a developmental guy which is why he'll probably land on the PS.

Also as much as I like Quan, he was given the opportunities to step up and be a player at WR before Brown or Melllette was, but as it stands now he's behind both guys at WR. We can wait on guys like Quan, to finally get targeted, but while you wait, better guys show up. Quan had a brief opportunity to show and prove this offense just like Doss, just like Reed and just like Streeter and just like those guys he didn't get it done. Thus a guy like Stokely is added and Brown/Mellette are given the chance to play with the 1s and never look. As someone said, Quan is a try hard ST guy and there is nothing wrong with that.

At this point Brown and Mellette are the only WRs i'm looking at moving foward. Both of those guys have shown they not only have potential but can be reliable unlike the guys we had piror. With that being said, I actually don't think Britt would stunt their growth and would actually help it. No not from a leadership stand point because Britt still needs to be led, but definitely from a on field standpoint. You place Britt and Torrey on the field together and the defense has to account for both guys on the outside. This would leave a guy like Brown to be a huge mismatch against lesser DBs and LBs inside. Even though he's 6'4 he can go inside or out and that creates major matchup problems.

Because Caldwell is a creative OC and will actually use all his weapons, i don't think Brown nor Mellette will be negatively effected by Britt if the rumors were true.

Champ Bailey is over the hill, but yeah, I agree with you.

everyone is saying they don't want him and this and that and bashing the guy because hes been hurt and what not, but you ALL KNOW if we made a reasonable trade and brought Kenny britt to Baltimore, you would all do a backflip out of pure joy and excitement. when britt is healthy he's a dominant receiver, and all it takes is a slight mismatch for him to completely take over a game, we all saw what he did to us when our defense was still dominant 2 years back

im just gonna go with the simple fact that harbaugh has a tendency to make his guys steamroll and absolutely flatten any team in their path in week 1. harbs just does something to our players that makes them play at their absolute and very best, every single year, during week 1, from joes rookie year against cinci all the way to the start of year 5 when we dropped a 40 burger on one of the best defenses in the league. we will take this one home because nobody in Denver has any clue whats coming, doesn't know about pierce and our young guys, they don't know about Dickson, they don't know what were gonna do with our ridiculously versatile defensive backfield, they don't know whats gonna happen with our even more versatile front seven, our team in week 1 will be so unpredictable that even peyton wont know what to do, that's why johns a genius, he lets us panic while he stays calm and watches us play like garbage in the preseason, and shows NO cards to ANYONE, then week 1 comes, and hes got some stuff up his sleeves.

im predicting a double digit win for the ravens, not a huge win but 10-13 points

The Ravens are the pinnacle of professionalism. They don't sign head cases like Hernandez or Leaf.

Bernard Pollard.
Britt isn't on Murderer level head case

Saying Kenny Britt would hurt Brown and Mellettes growth doesn't make sense.Green bay had Jennings,Driver,Nelson and Jones but that didn't stop Randell Cobb from becoming a beast.Being behind Megatron and Burleson didn't stop Titus Young from having a breakout rookie season. If anything it would help them.Having them on the field as a 3rd or 4th behind Smith and Britt or Smith,Britt and either Jones or Stokley would draw attention away from them.We don't only have to play 2 or 3 wrs like we did with Cam.I'm sure Flacco,Harbaugh and Caldwell all want to give every wr on our roster some playing time this season.

The Ravens don't throw the ball as much (and rightly so) as the Lions or the Packers.

Could be. But there are a few creditable sources that follow the guy. So color me skeptical

When you brush something off as "hearsay" after saying you have information from people "close to the situation", it sounds about as ambiguous and hazy as can be. Either you have something or you don't. And, if you don't, it's just a way to cover your butt while getting some attention to the show.

Color me unconvinced.

this has been a rumor floating around this whole offseason, and with us trimming the roster down to 52, while we still have a spot being taken by someone who is probably headed to IR, this rumor may be somewhat real. I mean the anquan boldin rumors had floated around for 2 offseasons straight, and then all of a sudden the rumors became truth, and the trade happened before we even knew it was coming. idk ozzie pulls some shocking moves, and this is the type of move that ozzie has trademarked over the years.

The titans are deep at wr.The have Kendall Wright,Damien Williams,Nate Washington, they just signed Kevin Walter in the off season and I've read that Justin Hunter had a good training camp. What the titans need is a QB.

Deep? They're deep in trouble at WR. The only decent receiver they have is Britt, and he can't stay healthy. Hunter is getting shredded by his coaches, he looks terrible from what I've read. Kendall is injured. The rest is barely NFL material. They're in worse shape than we are at WR.

That's not true. They have a very good WR corps.

Pitta and Rice are the only ones that i see having better hands.

Don't you think that if Harbs thought that, he'd be more the a Teams player?

Britt > any receiver we have not named Torrey.

I think you messed up here. Let me help you fix this. It should read, "Britt (IF healthy, IF out of trouble, IF not being a diva) > any receiver we have not named Torrey". In the end, it's a lot of if's. And those are some huge if's too. Way too many.

By the way, I think I may be one of the ones who started this rumor lol. I said, a few weeks back, that I had "sources telling me that we are about to make a big splash for a receiver". Of course, that was very untrue. But I put it out there. Britt made the most sense to be traded for. Hopefully it wasn't me who started this whole thing, but oh well.

why would you even say you have sources telling you something if you don't? Completely sad

Yeah I'm sure these people are not relying on you as their source. You're just a guy on a message board making stuff up.
