Somewhere Tucker would've made it.

Zuerlin actually has a ridiculously strong leg too

Anyone have thoughts on Marc Anthony? I'll gladly eat crow after Doss's preformance and slather on some Ghost Pepper hot sauce. I still say Marlon Brown should go ahead of him. Mellette looked great too. Mellette was also more consistent.

He's like the anti-Alex Smith.  Strong as an ox, but no accuracy...  :eyes:

Strong, but not as accurate. I'm sure he gets more reps being on the Rams though.

Similar to Janikowski at his peak.

Didn't like Anthony, but he's going to make it based on the fact we only have 5 CB's if we don't make another move.

I'm still surprised we cut Moe Lee.  I thought we'd carry him until Asa came back.

... just to think of all those tons of negs we got wherever someone dared to note that amidst all the hype and the huge bandwagon, Furstenburg never really showed he was first team ready...

Well, he'll have a whole year to become one, in the PS. All the best to him.

bio

I was never big on him. Always wondered why others were.

44 pages for the 4th preseason game... call me impressed.

Caleb Hanie brings the crowd everywhere he goes.

Marc Anthony plays really well sometimes and other times he plays like donkey crap.

That sounds about right for a 7th round rookie.  He did have some good flashes last night.  That one special team's gunner tackle he made was pure effort and determination.

That's why its hard for Ozzie to part ways with any draft pick.  You just don't know this early.

Can someone give me an update on the game last night? I missed it. Had an emergency come up

It replays at 1pm in NFLN if that helps. I missed it as well. Recording it

I can't watch it. In at fogo right now and I think it's unlikely I'll be done or home by then lol

I'll go position by position:

QB - Hanie is bad.

RB - Rainey obviously killed it.  Second and third effort from him continually.  Delone Carter didn't look good at all, 1 yard on 8 carries.

FB - Juice still has some work to do on blocking.  Had a nice catch and run, showed soft hands.

WR - Brown, Doss, and Mellette all did very well.  Brown stood out most with a 50 yard slant for a TD.  Mellette came up big in crunch time.  Doss had a beautiful over the shoulder grab.  Williams didn't play much due to a hamstring injury.

TE - Clark looked pretty bad, and Furst didn't look much better.  Clark looked old and slow.  Furst was terrible at blocking and dropped 2 balls.  Bajema didn't play (already locked his spot up?)

OL - Wagner, Reid, and McClain stood out, but that was pretty much it.  They were hit or miss, but more miss than hit.

DL - They were also hit or miss.  Cody looked very good, and everyone else was pretty average for the most part.

OLB - Simon is a monster.  Played every down.  He still has work to do in coverage but that's expected.  Bryant was looking good before he blew out his knee.

ILB - McClellan got most of the reps next to Brown.  Brown looked fantastic, fast and instinctive.  No one else stood out.  Carr looked bad but that doesn't matter now lol.

CB - Anthony struggled a lot.  Jackson had his worst game, but still not too bad.  Chykie was hit or miss as well.

S - Omar Brown may have earned himself a spot.  He was around the ball constantly.  Levine didn't do too much, but did play ST all game.  Trawick looked really good on ST.  Great open field tackler.

ST - The Wolfpack was on point.

I actually thought that was Anthony's best showing.  He had some good coverage on a few plays.  Then he made that beastly tackle as a ST gunner (ofcourse this was after he ran out of bounds on the first kick).  But it was just too little and little late for any of that to make a difference.
