Preseason 4 - Baltimore Ravens at St. Louis Rams

What is the point of running it repeatedly when you're getting absolutely nowhere? Would it have hurt for Hanie to throw it a few times in the red zone?

Because of two obvious reasons:

1) There's a great chance of scoring on a run from the one

2) To get a look at how guys block on the goal line.

Also not impressed with Juice's blocking from what ive seen

I doubt an Ivy League fullback blocks effectively in his rookie season. A year under Leach should do him some good.

This drive showed it loud and clear: give the ball to Doss, and the chains keep moving. Gibe the ball to someone else, drive is over :D :D :D

Doss 4 prez!

Uhm...yes and no. He would have thrown a pick but since he's not making the team anyway, I suppose you are right

Great speed by Arthur Brown there.

We all miss the great Lewis & reed but having some speedy guys will payoff as the team gels

Nothing wrong with the hit. But act like a professional kid. Pull that with Leach and see if ur still up and talking.

It's a good thing for Allen we aren't looking for another guy who can carry the ball.  He might not make it, but didn't he initially get cut last year in favor of Berry or Rainey only to get re-signed before the season started because his value lies elsewhere and the team realized Pierce was clearly going to be the man at 2nd RB?  Carter was the only player on that drive actually playing for a potential spot at RB.

Practice. Pre-season games are quasi practices. And it makes sense to practice what's not yet good enough.

I noticed that LaQuan has not seen a rep at WR tonight.  Not sure what that means, but it seems pretty notable.

I think Marlon Brown makes the team. So Doss or Mellette? Think Mellette lasts until PS?

We could keep all 3 if they decide to carry 6 wrs on the roster.

Should have been flagged for trying to steal Jacoby's TD dance.

Not for trying, but for how poor he did it :)

I really wish Allen wasn't so good on ST. He's been the worst RB on the roster for three straight years, and he's made the team each time.

LaQuan will likely be cut, unfortunately.

Agreed, not popular with fans but I still think Doss is given one more year to prove himself and Melette goes to ps IMO
