Hate to be the negative guy, but even if he made the 53, he would hardly play offensive snaps, if any. As Eisenberg pointed it out, the #3 RB spot isn't really a RB spot, it's a ST spot. So, even if Rainey made the team, we'd see him on ST, occasionally a kick return here and there...

Sucks for Rainey, because even if he makes the team, he won't play.

His best shot is to get cut and get picked up by a running back hungry team. For his sake, I do hope we cut him.

I'd hate for us to cut him and he goes to Pittsburgh or something.

Sounds horrible, but the injury may be good for DJ Bryant.  He would get to sit on IR all year and collect an NFL paycheck.
