40 isn't good?
When you think of all the great offensive linemen, wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends as well as you know at least 4 qbs are higher. I think the 40 mark is about right.
It's a good point, but I think that since no position affects the game like the QB does (and it isn't even close), they should weigh heavier than the other positions.
Granted, it is hard to compare, for example, Flacco and Yanda. You can make the argument that you can only make a reasonable case for 2 - 3 OG being better than Yanda, but you can make a reasonable argument that there are 5 or 6 QBs better than Flacco. But that doesn't make Yanda a better offensive player than Flacco. Since Flacco and Yanda are both near the top of their respective positions, Flacco get the nod because he has a much bigger impact on the game.
I have no idea where I'd personally rank Flacco, but at first glance, I'd say he is a top 5 QB. Peterson and Megatron are so much better than the other RB and WR that they are the only exceptions I would make for the "QB carrying more weight" rule, and I would put them both above Flacco (which sounds weird to me, because if I were building a team from scratch, I would take Flacco over either of them). Other than that, I really cant see anyone else out there who I can rank higher. So at worst, my first glance says Flacco should be top 10.
I'd be real interested to see all these people they rank ahead of him.
