News to me 2, but im really not suprised. He fair catches every freakin return. I'm still missing BJ samms :(
Well he can't fair catch when hes a wr :P But I'm glad someone else is stepping up to earn the 3rd spot, shows he is working hard in practice to impress the coaches. I think this is a good sign

Yeah I wish the Ravens would let Leonard return kicks, I'm tired of Yamon running sideway trying to get a touchdown every time. Either that or he fair catchs. Just run up the field and ya might get lucky..

Hopefulyl Smith can step up and be Flaccos big target.

I also miss Bj Sams, he is on the streets, we should give him a call

Im happy about this, we have a hungry rookie out there on the field. At 6'1 215lbs, he may be what we were looking for. Hes a very physical receiver and has decent speed with a 4.5 40. Hes not going to blaze past defenders but when he gets the ball, he should be able to bully and shrug them off of him. Im interested to see what this rookie is going to do. If him and Clayton get hot, we may light up that score board

Figurs is definitely in a sophomore slump. Just runs forward 15 yards into a tackle with no juke, jump, stiff arm, spin, anything. He reminds me of Lamont Brightful; good at first, really tails off after that.

It's a shame, he showed great potential as a rookie. I wouldn't throw him under the best yet, though, he's still had a few huge returns this year that helped us win close ones.

Ed Reed and Ray Rice would be our best return men, but Ed should really be used sparingly.

Ray Rice could become for us what Leon Washington is for the Jets. Similar size, though Washington's a bit faster and Rice a little tougher.
Great return man, good scat back. I like what Kevin Faulk does in that capacity for the Patriots, too. He can make a third down on yards after catch in much the same way Rice is so good at.

Leonhard could return punts at least, he has shown he can do that pretty well too. If not Leonhard since he is our starting strong safety right now, Zbikowski and Nakamura both returned punts I know in college, and both scored a few times on them as well. Neither are every down players right now in our defense so why not...

He even sucks in Madden...
With BJ Sams, it was money in the bank I'd run back six or seven TD's each season. One year, I ran back 11 TD's with BJ on PR/KO's.
Figurs...well, I'm on week 16 right now, and have two returns for TD's to show for it <_<

I think Figurs is your guy to return punts....I do like Leonard better but the problem with that is he is your starting safety.. If he returns punts he is at risk of getting hurt....So I would let Yamon return them instead of risking injury to Leonard....

It is the safe way to go I noticed that Figurs has been faircatching alot more I actually like that...Instead of trying to make a play and maybe turning the ball over get you offense on the field and do what we do best! And that is time of poss!

We must be playing 2 different madden's figurs is money for me in return's and also happens to be my leading receiver in yards as well as tds. However sams is lucky to hit the 30 yd line.

Yeah, that's right...plus, i think that figurs is just simply trying to get out of his "slump" with fair-catching and just getting a better feel before taking his calculated risks.

Ever since the first Pissburg game this season, where Yamon got drilled with his first run back (and whre Haruki injured a Squeeler player with a hard legal hit), he has not been the same. I think that he's lost that so-called "edge" and "drive".

Now that said, we should not use Leonard, as that would be risky, same with Ray Rice. I say (as pointed out before) give Zib and Haruki chances, as they did that in college as well. Though Ray Rice is a fast guy, so we could use him sparringly.

I like having the rookie WR now. The reason he's in there I think, is probably that his shoulder does not hurt any more, as supposedly it did from training camp or a pre-season game. Remember, everyone is screaming for a WR next year. We have them, we picked up two this year in the draft (Smith and Wheelright), and both are relatively fast, but bit/strong (during draft day it was commented that "Cam Cameron likes tall, big, strong receivers"). It's just that they both got injured in pre-season and basically sat. So, it's now the perfect time of year to see these guys pop onto the field and deliver -- imagine what that would do to other teams and our playoff chances (as well as save us from not having to pick a WR in next year's draft)!

Go Ravens! Go Falco...er, Flacco!

I like the idea of trying Marcus Smith. Hopefully he gets some balls throw his way and maybe can become an Anquan Boldin type player for us? It's a long shot but he's got the same height of Boldin and the same build. (Only 2 pounds lighter) He could probably thrive in this offense because.. Cam is genius when it comes to offense. Plus, its not like Figurs was doing anything as our 3rd receiver with only ONE catch back in the Texans game. Here's hoping that Marcus Smith gets a chance!

Speaking of tall, Wheelwright is a whooping 6'5 and 220 pounds!

Wheelwright is in the practice squad, but i really like him and want to see him on the field. We should try to look his way in the red zone for those balls to get up and grab. I mean i don't think press coverage would work on him. :)

We'll we should get a good chance of seeing what Marcus Smith can do. Lately the Redskins passing D is on a down swing. But Chris Horton will still do a great job against Mason. Clayton will be going up againts DeAngelo probably. So we might see Marcus Smith get into the action.

yeah...i mean the Ravens drafted marcus in the 4th round, too high of a draft pick to solely be on special teams. im sure he has good skills on offense.

Well, Flacco sometimes does still overthrow the receivers sometimes and that wouldn't be a problem with Wheelwright

lol yeah doubt it...but i don't know why we'd go for someone like Terrance Copper when Demetrius went in the IR, rather than just go with whom we have (Marcus Smith, Ernie Wheelwright), y'know?
